Just wow. If ever there was a desire to re-create items to sell I would imagine MANY
people would go crazy for such skirts alone. Unsure how many wedding dresses
there are, out THERE, that would translate to such a design but would be FAB idea
for you all or somebody to possibly do re-designs. V.Westwood designs have been for the elite for all so many years and so many people would love to own things that look like her/their designs

Thank you😊💕💕💕Yes we see quite a few wedding dresses when we thrift. I agree there are so many beautiful fabrics in thrift stores just waiting to be updated or given new life. I am very attracted to Vivienne Westwood look. I like how Vivienne took a classic look and gave it some edge... or "punked " it up!!!!
@@HeatherandDave Hi .... yes agreed. I just learned of you both via YT algo as was researching vids to share with someone about old skool style & to inspire them to think outside of the box and such. I direct people to Japanese street style and S. Korea for inspo and to do mood boards plus to get into fabric shops & out of the way thrift shops that are independent to score outstanding fabrics and ideas.
I think you all are out east and along way from Vangroovy.... well it is not kewl any longer as it is all about same fashion aka much lycra work out wear, same looks, anti ageing storefronts everywhere, gentrification ++. I make a point to let younger pple know they have *it* going on with their fashion when I do see rare punk - raw edge++ style.
Truly think your skirt is a superior piece and hope you both got lots of praise for such on other social you may have. Lots of non modern brides seeking different looks and colours these days with intent to wear such again. Was just at a wedding where had 4 pieces total to mix and match via custom seamstress. Was the coolest. Good luck with your thrifting and creations.
I love buying things from the thrift store that are damaged, but something I can work on and repair and save from the landfill. I think handmade or upcycled clothing looks so cool and unique, so I hope people start doing more of that and less buying new. Loved both of your projects!

OMG... Dave... That suitcase is just breathtaking... With the pastel coat it was heavenly. I could imagine a little shiny varnish layer on top of the painting just to make the flowers and the colors pop even more (but it's just me😅) you did an amazing job! 💓😎
After two days of curing we can apply a non toxic acrylic clear coat with a brush. I will do this with the bag in an upcoming video. Thank you for your insight for adding a little more shin to it💕💕💕

Hi Heidi. From my experience working with colour products....this topic is complex. Product formulas have been changing at rapid rates over the last few decades. What I have learned is what's suppose to work sometimes does not and visa versa. Therefore my solution to you is to bring your question to google ...which might give you updated answers to questions like " what is the best product to dye tule with? " Toxicity in a dying product might be an important question to ask. Anything can be dyed...but at what cost to our health. Beading generally does not absorb dyes...so that is awesome for creating various colour combos when dying a dress like I did. Yes a museum sounds awesome...and you have some of the best in the world...I think? Heather & I send you big hugs right back❤️❤️❤️😊

Great inspiration!! I love the suitcase and wedding dress recycle....they look fabulous. I enjoy your playful attitude and authenticity. We need that more than ever!! I think I have to paint on suitcases soon. It will be MUCH easier to find one's suitcases when flying. The skirt looks terrific with the purple sparkly sweater but I know what you mean about wearing a t shirt with it. I have some fancy beaded fabric I'm going to make up into a hoodie and wear it during the day!!! Btw, if I can get the time to go to a post office, would you be interested in a couple of pieces to upcycle on your channel? I have a couple of things I wanted to send to you guys (Heather and Dave) for you to upcycle for yourselves and I thought it would be interesting to see what you come up with?
