@@timgersh6787 I think you misunderstand, no one is routing for Star Wars to fail. They are just feeling vindicated that it IS failing. Because many of the online critics i.e. the ones that aren't paid to say and do as the big corps command, have been pointing out just how insidious the the decline of star wars has been for a decade now.

I find it horrifying that, even with advancements in spelling and grammar checks in modern media, people comment without the ability to put together a complete thought.
Especially considering CZcams literally highlights spelling and grammatical errors. There's a difference between being uneducated and being deliberately ignorant.

I really don't understand these people. When I don't like someone's opinion or channel, I just don't watch it anymore. If they keep popping up as suggestions, I click the box that says "not interested". Why would you waste so much energy and time over such petty things?
Don’t you see the mirror being casted on both sides. For one I agree with your comment 100%. Now with that logic why don’t reviewers do the same. They choose to indulge in content after being shown time after time you are not the target audience. In return the reviewers have “negative” opinions and therefore people who may actually have opposite opinions have “negative” comments about the reviewers comments. That’s the mirror. Im not saying Snarky deserves hate I’m just saying we all know how the internet can be and in life in general the law is for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. At this point its just an algorithm game because wouldn’t enough common sense tell you that Star Wars back in the day is not Star Wars today. They have a specific demographic they are targeting. If the original Star Wars fans want to make a statement then stop watching stop supporting stop subscribing. It’s like going back and forth with trolls. You are giving them the attention and energy they need to keep going. All publicity is good publicity if you can market it or use it well. Again let me say Snarky is cool in my books so are the other reviewers that just want to see these movies and shows delivered a certain way and express that but after a number of movies with the same kind of reaction videos it does come off as complaining. I either will refuse to watch or watch knowing exactly that this isn’t for me. Last example: you not gonna turn on Dora the explorer and be upset that it’s childish right? For me personally, I find entertainment in watching the reviewers tear it apart. It's a guilty pleasure I earned after being ditched by a franchise I literally grew up with, having been born in 1975.
Likewise, there are devoted fans of the modern Star Wars, and they produce ever loving reviews dripping with praise. I don't find it entertaining, and I don't creep their channels spewing hate filled, personal attacks towards them. I just stay away.
Bad writing is bad writing. If the audience that watches Dora the Explorer starts to feel like the content is filling in too much adult sub text and themes, I might be upset for a different reason as an adult or parent.
The Simpsons arrived when I was 14. I understood the show had a duality to it. Children understood the humor that was directed at them, but at the same time the show was filled with adult sub text and nuance. It didn't take long for the show runners to figure out they had to grow with the audience. The Simpsons evolved to become a much more mature program because A) it appealed to that demographic, and B) the main audience would mature and age very quickly, outgrowing the show if the show runners didn't adjust. We were in a relationship for decades. I watched every Sunday night, I collected the merch, I was loyal.
I can't watch any of The Simpsons made in the last 8 to 10 years. Everything that I grew up with, has changed; they have the new modern audience in mind. They've ditched me, not unlike Star Wars, and that abandonment has created resentment. I bought the merchandise, the films, the re-releases, the posters and so on. Now I dissipate that resentment by watching critical reviewers such as this channel. I buy nothing they produce and when I no longer get pleasure from watching the critical content, what remains will be apathy.
But, I still don't feel the need to be mean to individuals that criticize things I enjoy. I might try to engage with them and have a conversation, to exchange thoughts, but never to be evil or mean spirited. I want to give people something to think about, a route to follow, maybe to change their mind, not wound them or leave scars.

And at the end of the day I agree with you there’s nothing wrong with shining light on the hate being received when someone is just giving their opinion. There is something wrong with hateful comments towards anyone. It’s really not fair, when I say this I’m coming as a realist. This is the nature of the internet unfortunately. I’m not saying because this is how it is people should just do nothing about it. I’m trying to spark different solutions. The reviewer represents we the “fans” and if you truly have a problem with a franchise and their message and writing and think continuing to watch the franchise or be satisfied watching someone else say what you are thinking I don’t think will solve it. You hit the business where it hurts their pockets. Enough of the people who don’t like the content should link up and creatively boycott…if you actually want solutions…if you just want to be entertained and your opinions validated by someone else’s opinions then yea keep watching reviewers “bash” these franchises. I have no problem with the former or ladder. As a wise man once said “I’m just here to make you think”. Thank you for your engagement and thank you for having enough maturity to not take my comment as an attack towards anyone because I’m not trying to say I’m better than anyone. I watch the shows I “despise” too(I just don’t spend my money on it and I have a level of understanding what I’m watching or if I’m really dissatisfied I won’t watch at all) and I watch the reviewers “bash” them too because for the most part I be agreeing and feel their resentment and find it entertaining based on how they deliver their disgust for said content😅.
In response to your Dora the explorer comment as a parent you would be upset for different reasons right…but what would your solution be? Would you or your child still watch? Would you be satisfied watching or hearing someone else with the same opinion as you?(rhetorical) but I hope everyone or most people can understand the point I’m trying to make.

I just found your channel yesterday with the post about Star Wars. I watched it because I was there in '77 and that film changed the direction of my life and I still get chills from the memory of its first viewing; and like you said, Disney - whom I used to have so much respect for, seems to have gone completely off track these past years.
