In this video you will learn 10 popular stitches for lettering in hand embroidery: Back Stitch, Whipped Back Stitch, Split Stitch, Stem Stitch, Chain Stitch, Brick Stitch, Couching Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knots and Long and Short Shading. 💁🏼♀️💕 This sampler is a part of my big project “Samplers Guide Book” 📕 it’s a soft book made completely from fabric, where each page is a stitched sampler for one stitch or a group of stitches. With each sampler page, you can learn more and more popular embroidery stitches and grow your skills from beginner to advanced level. Each of you will make a unique book for yourself, every page of this book will serve as a living example of the stitches you have learned. You can refer to those pages when you are planning your own embroidery designs. Just imagine how pleasant it will be to flip through these pages! You will be definitely proud of your results!

I just found your channel this weekend as I was stuggling with french knots. I watched your tutorial over and over until I got... alright. Not great but improving. The techniques here were presented so plainly and calmly that watching it I started thinking you were literally opening a world of endless possibilities! Absolutely beautiful work and explained in such a way I'm intrigued not intimidated. You even made me want to willingly do more french knots! 😅
The shading is gorgeous and you actually brought me to tears with your words of encouragement.
I was not prepared to have my mind blown and my life affirmed over the course of this video. ☺️💖

I love your video. I noticed that you don't work on the surface but go down under the cloth. Is this what you normally do or just for demonsstration?

One thing I'd like to see is "repair" embroidery to save clothing. For instance, I had gotten dressed for work and was wearing a dark purple swing t-shirt tunic, leaned into the washing machine to put the clothes in the dryer, and got a bleach spot on it. It's either throw it away or save it with embroidery, which I can do just fine, but I find myself "freezing" up in indecision because I'm a pattern follower, not a designer.
I also feel a bit intimidated when I comes to stitching on clothing. I usually perform complicated designs and I would prefer to embroider it as a patch. This way when your closing is getting old and doesn't look good you can remove this patch and attach it onto something else. I'm planning to make 2 video tutorials for patches and brooches in the future. Are those topics interested for you?
