Corus Entertainment was was founded in 1999 as a spin off from Shaw Communications, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Corus has made various acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures ever since it was founded; one of their earlier acts was acquiring Nelvana Limited in late 2000.
