Arbortech Turbo Plane & Power Carving Unit - Unboxing & Tested.

New tool testing time 😊. Last week I received some new Arbortech tools and today I finally had a chance to put them through their paces . These are my very first tests with the Turbo Plane and the Power Carving Unit.
First impressions are great, they are easy to use and the Turbo Plane doesn’t burn the wood when you carve. Also The Turbo Plane makes quick work of the carving by removing wood quickly and leaves a nice smooth finish. I’m looking forward to getting to know this combo better and with more practise see what they are really capable of.

Power carving wood seems like puddy in your hands. Did you try the accessories or would they get in the way?

Just the turbo plane and the ball gouge, they both work well.
