I have ridden and owned a few wings but I will never get rid of my 86 Cosmo Black Goldwing Interstate that I bought new , it the best in my opinion ... its not loaded up with junk that fails with age , its relatively light at 700 pounds so its a great everyday bike , holds a ton of shit in the bags , and the flat 4 is just a sweetie ... Great gas mileage , 7500 redline ( it really moves out in the higher rpms and sounds crazy good doing it , and when the air suspension is set just right , rides so so good , and the nimbleness of this big bike is uncanny not to mention the way they kept the weight low makes this bike handle like no other at low speed . It loves the twisties ( you can be aggressive with this bike and lean it way over ) and it shows just right amount of engine to make it look sexy . Yep .. its my favorite goldwing of all and i will never part with it ... The newer wings are just to laden with weight . technology , and everything is covered up with plastic for my liking and a lot harder to service and repair ... There great touring bikes for the open road , better for two up riding (I ride solo ) but way more of a handful for everyday bike duties that I need ... There just too big ... I like the middle weight of the GL1200 , best bike I ever owned and travel long distance all the time with it and it has never broke down in the 37 years I have owned it ... Happy Motorcycling
@@jeffreybodine2897 you described it perfectly just the way I feel about my 86 Interstate. I also believe it's the best model. Here is a playlist on this bike: czcams.com/play/PLICWLX3xQIRPEn9JQXItuwfWZXvFHlc7K.html&feature=shared
Glad you and Dragonette were able to get away and enjoy yourselves! 🙂
