- First fried breakfast at Route 66. Well 1066, but who's heard of the Battle of Hastings apart from us of a certain age. This fried breakfast was so welcoming after a month of not having one - being in France and Spain for 3 weeks on the epic road trip on a motorbike to Tenerife. Out on the Harley Davidson Fat Bob 114 for a route 1066 breakfast. #darrenjohn #harley #route66
Hi DJ. You know what I think is one of the best videos you have done. I really think this is your niche (although don’t rinse and repeat too many times;) Bike, breakfast, drone, scenery, country roads and beautiful weather, 360 camera bike shots ( so missing from your journey down to Tenerife although I know you could not help it) volume levels just catching the bikes throttles. Really enjoyed it and off the charts. Thumbs up. 👍

I can't judge the food on taste, obviously, but I'll be honest... on looks alone, it didn't look brilliant (you've had some absolutely brilliant fry-ups!). For your first fry-up in a month... I bet it tasted great!

Nice to see you out enjoying the day. The stress that I could see on parts of your road trip melted away. I'm sure that you enjoyed much of your road trip and you have helped and informed many of your followers including me on many aspects of organising and taking on such a trip. I have done quite a few road trips around Europe but did it in the comfort of my car and the only ferries I needed to consider were those to get me across the North Sea or the Channel. I have a great admiration of you Darren. Your posts are a compelling watch and I will have said before, so helpful to many, of excellent 'eateries' in the London area. Just a thought, you should consider writing a visitors guide to eating out in London. Couple that with your CZcams posts I believe it would go down well. Best wishes and thank you Bob J.

Oh our dj ! You weren't too far away from where we live mucca, we're just outside rye me old mucca, you could have called in for coffee or whatever, and to pitch a tent up for the night and get some r&r. The rose&crown is very reasonable in Beckley aswell, proper old fashioned pub mate. Xx
On the road again, and it's great to have you back. As a lad50 odd years ago, I would, in the holidays go with my dad in his lorry (sand and ballast) and transport cafes were the real deal❤❤ Sausage, eggs and chips never tasted so good. Ah memories, but back in the room.Why order a number 2,then add bubble&squeak, fried bread? How about a build your own fry -up,and ask to have the bacon 🥓 crispy.however what you had seemed OK, I agree with you the bacon could have been saved by a good veterinary service 😂 Am looking forward to the summer days seeing more of the 🇬🇧 .Stay safe,stay healthy & keep vloging Cheers 🥂

Lovely scenery looks a grest cafe ,a good people watching place lol ,, as for brekkie I only have my egg on my fried bread ,sausage with my beans I have to arrange my plate lol ,we are all different hey ,don't worry if it rains on your journey back .you can put up with a drop of rain after that rain experience you just been through x

You are in your element here Darren .I couldn't agree more about the sausage...I could easily knock back 4 and forgo the bacon!!!And don't starve your self....the more you deprive your self, the more you end up eating in the long run! You HAVE to incorporate a proper fry up AND a proper Sunday roast in order to succeed...A person has to have something to look forward to...life is too short mate!

Looks great. Egg on fried bread always. You know I’ve lived for years very near to that cafe (in all it’s iterations through the years) and never been In it!!! Another popular bikers cafe in the area is on the A259 just outside Little Common (near Bexhill). Can’t recalll the name just now.

You didn’t get a French meal in Le Mans Darren but I’m sure that fry up was just as enjoyable and not having one for a month would make it even more enjoyable , it looks a nice cafe and really popular with biker’s

You can eat that stuff, just mix it up. Mixture of healthy eating and the food you love won't cause you a problem. If you eat it every day, then it will.
But in all honesty, that breakfast looked awful compared to Pellicci, Regency etc. And seriously they served eggs like that! They were flatter than my exes chest! 😂

Not Beans Darren. Try fried bread or toast, butter then bacon on and then the egg and don't forget to add some Braaaaan Sauce somewhere in there. Works every time. 😋 x

Hi Darren, I’m sure the road trip was a thrill although a huge test of stamina and mentally tough….and you love Tenerife of course…….but there’s a lot to be said about the beautiful English countryside especially on a sunny day. Just a one hour ride, a great fry up and back home sweet home in your own bed the same day….that’s not so bad, is it?
