How is a president who was impeached twice allows to be on the ballot? Why don't we have these things as rules?
There are plenty of people in this country who are not felons, have never been president, have never been impeached, and are also qualified to be president. So I don't understand why people insist on this particular guy. We should be more picky. If a candidate has red flags, get a new one that doesn't.

How blind can you allow yourself to be just to delude yourself that you are right for supporting Biden. You think it is one or even a 1000 stutter or misspeaking that emboldens us to ask Biden to give up and retire with some dignity? Since 2020, majority of the USA citizens could see that Biden is fragile and not energetic enough to be in such a stressful job. With time we noticed his deteriorating mental health leading to him falling about, mumbling, hiding from press and other uncharacteristic cringe behaviours.
The debate only showcased his unhealthy status to millions of people at the same time and generated a discussion that can no longer be ignored by the FAKE NEWS media. So, stop lying to yourself and stop being a partisan even to the detriment of your country. It is cowards like you that brought us to this shambolic state of affairs.

It really is upsetting that every single news outlet is questioning the most minor missteps from Biden and just not questioning Trump on anything.
I'm a big believer that there is no "liberal media". Every media outlet is owned by larger corporations that lean republican. Some are optically-liberal to get TV ratings, but they all seem to promote republicans.

Is Biden really that bad? He is wise. He is real. His experience is second nature. He has a backup plan with Kamala Harris. He knows how to move legislation forward even with the mess he has to deal with. He doesn't give up. He doesn't care to be a movie star. Most people have a hard time expressing themselves completely no matter their age, imagine with a stutter. Imagine trying to get some information out quickly when there is so much of it in your head.
Not everyone practices their speeches in front of a mirror. But some people just get the job done. Biden was my least favorite choice, followed by Kamala. Most of my friends are willing to say they have been pleasantly surprised, as have I, by both because we look at substance. Look who Biden appointed to the Supreme Court. Look who Biden placed as Secretary of Transportation. Look at his choice for Vice President. I am dismayed at the American public and media that is over the top concerned with appearance. Let's list the legislation that passed under Biden's watch. Let's talk about that.

Biden says "Ukraine can and will stop Putin"; translated = NATO can and will stop Putin. This Biden is crazy and will bring about WW3. When Soviet Union was being dissolved, USA & NATO promised no further egress of NATO membership to countries surrounding Russia. Also, most of the areas 'conquered and occupied' now by Russia constitute enclaves of Russian speaking people that settled in these areas.
For peace, Russia should take / hold onto these areas and Ukraine should not join NATO. Putin requests are reasonable and were partly promised him. Even if you think they are unreasonable, it is not worth killing millions of people. Some fear that Putin will not stop here but go on to invade Poland etc. When he does, we shall all see him and that is when to fight to FINISH. I believe that all the money given to Zelensky, 80% of it is finding it's way back to Democrat / Republican 'Establishment Elite' pockets.

I have always enjoyed John Dickerson as a guest on Steven’s show. Besides coming off as a decent person, he discusses his knowledge of politics without becoming a partisan hack.
The Constitution was written when the avg. age of death was 35; why not have age-limit, with exception on an individual basis as approved by say 2/3 or 3/5 vote of both houses? Say a limit of 75, so that no Pres. could run after 71 y.o.; no Rep after 73; no Senator after 69 (lol) and mandatory retirement of Scotus on 75th birthday.
So all news media should demand Republicans to come up with a new candidate, and Congress should vote on Trump being able to hold office on his involvement in Jan 6 and supporting insurrectionists.

President Biden is currently the candidate, but we don't just elect the candidate, but the entire administration that does the work their leader proposes. This administration, chosen by Biden, has done impossibly well and could continue even if Biden's work hours shorten.

See this is interesting to me. Stephen is no journalist; he's an actor by training and an entertainer by profession. Yet he has a deep passion for these issues, stays informed, and finds people, and he is extremely willing to listen and abke to engage. Even at the end of Dickerson's eloquent words, he manages to make him smile without undermining a single word of the message. It's unfortunate that his network or he himself doesn't talk about global issues like Israel/Palestine or Sudan or even much about the European elections, but he is a master class in making a kind of "infotainment" that is truly both informative and relevant.
I wish our vote mattered.
