While I don't think keeping animals locked in cages is ethical one bit and this is a horrible idea to do this chimp wasn't acting in a violent manner more of a play fighting or playing manner which chimps use to establish dominance so it's semi aggressive but normal. I'm no animal expert but after this between two chimps it would likely end in them grooming each other. I still wouldn't recommend doing it but the chimp doesn't seem angry or agitated like if this was a juvenile or younger chimp it could be much more likely turn into a real bit of aggression or anger but since this is as you said an older chimp there probably alot less aggressive they weren't displaying there fangs or lashing out more just playful behavior. That being said I don't think people should ethically do this I believe highly intelligent animals belong in the wild for us to watch not in enclosures we have the technology to observe highly animals as they are meant to be not in a cage.
