- Queen Elizabeth II attended a formal farewell to King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands on Wednesday as they concluded the final day of their two-day visit to the UK. Report by Iain Jones.
Her Majesty is legendary in so many ways. She has to be one, if not THE most admired woman in history. She has led a very dignified life and has always and continues to put duty first. Amazing woman.
Well, the a few female Russian Monarchs come to mind and an Austrian one.
Let's see if her legacy holds,.....we both won't be around for that analysis.
Poor Lady, working all her life...no old-age-pension. I'm glad the dutch royal system gives the monarch some life to enjoy!
With deepest respect, this video sparked a tinge of sentimentality in me. It reminded me of how my grandparents used to come and say goodbye to us when we would leave. Very touching.

The Queen's and Prince Philip's ability to ambulate up and down stairs unaided, without a handrail, without any assistive device, at their age, amazes me.
Two examples of great queens, genuine, hard working and highly committed to their people
With the only distinction being, that one is head of state (Elizabeth) and one is not (Maxima). Not to bring Maxima down, but there is a difference in what they represent. Maxima is Queen Consort, since her husband is the actual head of state.
There is only one Queen and there will never be another like her. The Dutch Royals seemed very overjoyed by their welcome and visit, a meaningful success to them all. From beginning to end, it was extraordinary. Very out of the ordinary, I’ve been told a rare occasion, these days.The men’s uniforms were my favourite, from the carriages to those standing behind the Royals dining table, such a variety of them to polish and shine for the occasion and the great rooms ever so richly impressive, and the history still being handled with care. All the people, planning and hard work put into the occasion must of taken an army to pull off. Really, truly. They live it and that must be an unique experience no matter how high you are. It’s from a passing age. I feel strongly that we live in hate fuel times and in that chaos, we need kind leadership. Examples of families uniting and preserving the goodness in life that pulls us forward with positive intentions is a vital key to calming and soothing, and yes charming us to be our better selves. A safe harbour. Meghan has reintroduced me to the British Royals, without her they would of stayed off my radar. I only look for good news items or I feel am drowning in a world that is getting crazier and crazier. So, yes God save the Queen and of course, extended family.

I must admit I’ve had a great unwillingness lodged in my heart, to find any goodness in Trump. To think Trump and Meghan come from the same country yet are complete opposites. So, I choose Meghan. I choose the Royal family for sustaining character and substance. Racism painful outcome is shaming others, to have self hate of ones self, they have won. That humanity of Meghan and Harry’s union, even her being a few years older, the way they shine in each other’s eyes, lifts me up. We must be happy for others good fortune, as we would are own. Someone having less never gives us more. So, I celebrate the goodness but I also make a stand for what is right, too.

Very Cool, hi it is I the SkyWalker writing to comment about this video if I may, very cool: I always enjoy seeing the Queen, today she bid adieu to my Rugby partner the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexender and also his wife Queen Maxima; it must be neat welcoming guest...I love the fancy processions and cars and guards, the whole Regal experience is so alluring in my opinion, it shows me there is a big world out there and I am yet to scratch the surface.
