- Queen Elizabeth attended the Order of the Garter service at Windsor Castle.
Other members of the British Royal Family joined the Queen including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The King and Queen of Spain and the King and Queen of the Netherlands were also guests at the ceremony.

Candice M. Loche It may be the last when she manages those steps. I noticed the little changes for her comfort like driving down and not walking, the handrail up the steps and the little contraption to help her into the carriage. There is a door on the south side, which avoids the steps, so maybe next time she will use that.
I'm really surprised that the queen can still walk in high heels at her age!
What made ME nervous were those little boys carrying the train of her garter robe. At 93, if one of those kids tripped or fell or accidentally pulled back or something, the Queen could fall and hit her head or break a hip.

@@lemorab1 Well, that'd good to know. Since my original comment, my aunt fell fell in the bathroom and broke her hip. My uncle thinks she hit her head on a metal garbage can because her mind went loopy afterwards. She went into hospital then a rehab clinic but within a month, her heart went out of whack and she just died 2 weeks ago. She was perfectly healthy beforehand. And she was only 81 whereas the Queen is now 95!

Very few monarch's get to have "The Great" added on to the end of their regnal name. In fact so few that the only one I can think of for the entire history of the British Isles is Alfred The Great. Kandy Kandy Actually it is heavy. It is silk velvet with a long train. It is heavy. The robe needs about 20 yards of thick fabric. Having had the opportunity to try on something similar I can vouch for it.

A Paradox There is a much easier door on the south side, that leads more directly to the choir, where The Queen sits. However, as long as Her Majesty can do it she will. Pleased to see her using the car rather than walking down the hill.
