Queen travels to Paris by Eurostar for D-Day anniversary

- The Queen traveled to Paris via Eurostar on the 5th June 2014, ahead of ceremonies for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy that marked the beginning of the end of World War Two. Before boarding the train at London's St Pancras Station, the monarch opened a plaque commemorating 20 years since the opening of the underground rail service connecting the United Kingdom to France. As well as managing to skilfully negotiate cobbles in high heels!
The Queen is a precious jewel. She always gets it right. And what energy ! She looks and acts half her age. God bless her.

Today the Queen acted like a right commoner, and traveled to Paris aboard a Eurostar train! Her visit to France comes ahead of tomorrow's ceremonies for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy that marked the beginning of the end of World War Two.
She went, with many men who fought that day, to remember the fallen. She is beautiful, demure and kind.

Our Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Always SO well presented, beautiful for age doesn't seem to have taken that from her, so demure, so willing and so important. She is more important to this country than any politician, and has overall say on who governs. If a crazy party got voted in, she can still refuse them the right to govern!. She has a LOT more power than being a 'tourist attraction' believe me. She has so many powers that you do not know of, so yes. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Doesn't she just! I have never seen her in bad outfit yet! She looks years behind her age, her beauty is stunning. She cares a lot about this country and world affairs, without her we would have one person in power, a 'president', and a disaster for Britain. The royals are important, so what if a little of your taxes go to them, they have a lot more power than you think!. :)

The Queen looks tired but she trudges on because it is her duty. I am sure she would rather be at home with her feet up.
Part of that is true yes the tired part but she does take pleasure of being UK figurehead . You only have to see how happily she is received . No one surpasses her in the World .

Look at her, she is the total image of perfection. Call be a Royalist if you must, but having her and her family means one man, a president, cannot rule us all! KEEP the monarchy, they are more than you think, pay for more than you think, and are important in the running of this country. We don't know half of the powers she has. Remember it is HER MAJESTY'S government, she has to give them permission to govern before they can. Yes a little bit of tax does go to them, but so what? They do a job by preserving our traditions, and having more powers than we know of, so don't they deserve a wage for it? William, look at him, search and rescue pilot is just as dangerous as combat pilot, and he does it even though he has a wife and a young Prince George, future king to care for. I do like him and Harry a lot I must admit, I loved the Royal birth, seeing that baby for the first time was amazing. I know! I am 65 and I have had 3 knee replacements - one didn't work so I had to have the same one re-done, now my hip is giving me trouble! My problem is that I am overweight (I have lost 20lbs and can feel pain ease in my hip, but I have a long way to go)..sorry, got off track there! The Queen has been active all her life, not only loving to ride and she loves to walk all over the place when at Balmoral, and of course, the years of touring where she would be walking around again. She of course has her mother's genes for living a long and healthly life. When she broadcast her 21st birthday speech from South Africa, she said to all the people of the Commonwealth, "that her whole life, whether it be long or short, will be devoted to your service." I dare anyone to say that she has not lived up to that promise!
