Yeah Bernd it is really magical place. THough nowadays it is kinda forbidden to take off there and the landing field already turned back to vienyard, so also another complication. I am glad I tried it at the time it was possible:)

Is the string on the right intended to wiggle to show direction of the wind?
Not really, it a rest from the speed system which could be shortened.. But its not necessary.

what direction is the wind from @2:50 ?
It was late in the afternoon, still little bit anabasis, wind was kinda smooth up to 2-3mps and not lifting this close to terrain.So i did not expected any rotors there. And i had quite a lot of speed so I could gain some altitude by braking - if i lost height in the gap, or simply turn right, there was an option to fly around, though i would loose a lot of altitude this way.
