Since the tier list came out I have had a lot of wins with dog+crab with double buffalo
I’ve had a lot of success with dodo with honey->crab with meat->early game fish with garlic that I’ve been scaling since round 1

I think it would be better to put the random option on the pack selection screen though, I have a feeling that having to press another button after play every single time could get kind of annoying.

The final round on that first win was the luckiest shit looking back at it. The sushi making the turtle kill the mammoth and the bison having exactly 48 to kill the bronto.

Here's a tip: When you combine fish, try to not have the level-up combine from another party slot but the shop, so overall you get more stats.
crab meta kinda bonkers, keep getting 10 wins every time i can crab/chaincrab even if the juiced animal is just a fish or swan hit up a monky maybe rabbit me a bit and just juice til the cows come home (or even before as cows are a fantasic juice source)

Skunk destroys crab meta. I have been farming 10 wins by running skunk every time.
@@Rancidwolf skunk for sure is a big big counter, however i think the fact that an underused animal rising way higher in usage bcus its one of the only counters to a very easy to build strategy is kinda proof that the strat might be a bit much (also the skunk has to have a high enough attack stat to be able to beat the Crab Activation.) hopefully there will be more counters either added to the game or just from players figuring things out more tho

Okay, I just came to report on big pog. I started using some strategies and thinking I got from NL.
I am on a 7 winstreak.
I mean, 7 runs of 10 wins in a row.
Major Pogtonium. The Crab is real. Dodo+Rooster is real. Cat+Food is real.
Devil Egg
I've been thinking about the Dodo a bit and I think it's a really strong unit and kind of like a strictly better Caterpillar:
* It starts being useful with stats immediately instead of waiting until it hits level 3.
* Instead of copying stats, it passes its (attack) stat forward. This means you have 2 buffed units just like the caterpillar, but it passes 2x (or 3x which often results in >50 attack so not super useful imo).
The Dodo also has synergy with crab. Just buff your Dodo out of it's freaking mind and it can pass it's attack forward and health backwards to crab so late-game you can have 3 HUGE units which is often enough to win the game if you can get melon armor.
Dodo is great but you can't disrespect caterpillar. The great thing about caterpillar is that it gives itself +1/+1 every turn when it gets experience so it's still very useful before it turns level 3. An early 4/7 or 5/8 is great even with no ability. imo the caterpillar is great with some self scaling units like puppy, buffalo or bison
@@jam3syboy new dodo + rooster is super strong right now, often face 47-2 chicken taking down my hippo's and other big frontliners
Dodo is pretty decent but it doesn't really play the same role as Caterpillar. Caterpillar scales off of gold/buffs spent on your strongest unit - it doesn't need any money spent on it and really increases the efficiency of money/buffs spent on your strongest unit for both health and attack scaling. It even lightly scales itself before reaching level 3, which is all right at making it not completely dead weight for your team before that.
Dodo on the other hand requires money to be useful, so it already doesn't really play the same role. It is also position dependent (makes it way harder to use monkey to buff it), while Caterpillar isn't. Having it at level 2 and using it to buff something like Rooster or Crab is really good since doing this is fairly cheap and has a huge effect on these types of units, but you need to have a run where you can afford to, or be able to, scale both it and your primary unit before it does much. Caterpillar on the other hand just requires you to not lose the game for 5 turns before it doubles your strongest unit (no ability) for only 3 gold.

It's officially got too hard to compete. I had two 50/50 units with melon armor, a scorpion, and a teir 2 bat, and I lost with only 3 wins. It's a nightmare out there
I had a run on pay to win where i just had a big ole ladybug and i fed it a bunch of apples and won my first 5 games in a row but then i tried to keep growing my ladybug with food but got quickly outscaled

he's always like "i dont like a lvl 2 chick" but he LOVES the monkey and picks it up every time he sees it. lvl 2 chick is a better monkey! juice me squeeze me BTW
a monkey costs 3, a lv2 chick costs 9 + betting on getting copies, it's far less economical
Level 2 hatching chick requires finding 2 more hatching chicks or 2 chocolates and has to be used behind the scaling unit which can interfere with synergies. Monkey you can just stick in the back of the squad for 3 gold and forget about it.

Notice how by 28:25 none of the like 8 kills the Blowfish had would've turned out any differently if it hadn't had meat? *That's* why people don't put meat on an already overpowered (for the stage of the game you're in) unit. Putting it on the chick allows an otherwise completely useless unit to actually get kills, and because you're trading your useless unit for a unit that's much less useless than a 1/1, and also because all teams are limited to 5 unit slots, it's a favorable trade.
10 wins with a swan (2), ant (3), fish (3), bunny (2), and a seal (1) with a level 3 snail during the losses that I traded for a seal

NL, try a chicken build. I had a 10 win Marty yesterday that had 50/50 shop animals, was awesome. I ended up with 2 50/50 leopards and a tiger...was hilarious watching 75 damage go out before the match starts

Pay to win is impossible for me lately. Seriously, free to play I can do 10 wins pretty regularly (no less than 6-8 otherwise) but I played for WAY too long today on expansion pack and I got to nine SO many times and would get my squad sent to hell.
Pay to win is a worse pack, it peaks at mass stacks and focusing on basic scaling whereas pack one has abilities that kinda outperform that
With more choice of animals, the likelihood of you rolling your target animal is significantly smaller. Just my two cents.

whenever you level up a piece, a piece one tier higher than what can normally appear in the shop at this point appears in the shop. it's not out of the ordinary to level up a tier 3 piece in turn 5 with gold to spare to buy the piece that appears.
@@stoffelduss8582 he hadn't unlocked tier 3s yet though. That would mean the other guy level up 3 times in round 4 and hit 3 of the same thing. I'll just have to go back and watch it again., maybe that's what happened.

Probably because of a puppy, which gets +2/+2 at end of turn if you have 2 gold or more
once you win one game to 10/10 it gets SOOO easy
Why doesn't he move his camera a little further over so it's not covering up the gold? I don't play this game so it took me a minute to figure out how he knew how much stuff costs. At first I thought it was the dice that indicated gold cost since it looked like the Gold sign was pointing at them. It makes it easier for new people to figure out what's going on when you don't cover up important information.
