  • A bipartisan legislation was re-introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on 03 June to eliminate the per-country cap on employment-based green card. The new law called the EAGLE Act 2021, if cleared by the Senate seeks to make things easier for a lot of Indian professionals and their family members. Most of the Indians who wish to immigrate to the country often have to wait for years to get their green card. Currently, there is a 7% per-country limit on Visa issuance by the United States. This is a good informative video but I feel sad for Indians and Chinese. They are being denied greencard by US politicians. US politicians always promise reform and hope for poor H1Bs but don't do anything. Just dangling a carrot and laughing. No point coming to study in US. See the following article and see for your self that no one is willing to do anything for Indians and Chinese. No point getting stuck in an endless green card wait. The reason the eagle act was overwhelmingly rejected is because it's not an equitable solution to distributing GCs. Many high caliber professionals from diverse nationalities are just as deserving. The USCIS isn't mandated to cater for the needs of ONE country. Create jobs @ home
The Eagle Act, which was proposed by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), was overwhelmingly rejected due to its lack of equity. The act sought to give green cards to foreign nationals from countries with higher than average immigration rates, while ignoring applicants from other countries who may have had just as much qualifications or experience but did not come from a country with a high number of immigrants. This raised questions about fairness and equality in the immigration system, especially when considering that USCIS is mandated to consider all applicants regardless of their nationality. Furthermore, many argued that instead of providing green cards for foreigners, the government should focus on creating jobs domestically so more people can benefit from economic opportunities at home.

Your government tries to push its people out by arguing for EASIER immigration of foreign countries - no other country tries to push its citizens onto other countries as hard as India does. Can’t be the “best and brightest” if your government tries to negotiate with other countries to “please take them”

Indian growth dream is dead, I dont know if you have noticed but GDP has been declining since 2016 and for a developing country it is very very bad thing. Its bad when you see that developed country are growing nearly as fast as developing country. India's unemployment rate has reached new high, there are no jobs and when there are jobs, people get paid peanuts because they are constantly reminded that there are others sitting to replace them with less salary. In the end, everyone care about their own lives and future. India has become a country where doctors are made fun of and Quacks rule it.
