If you cross through multiple countries to get here, to me, you don't have to prove that you're in danger if you returned to your home country, you should have to prove why you're in danger if you had stayed in those other countries. If you take the overland route from, say, Venezuela, you have to go through Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and then Mexico.
They should have to prove why they did not feel it was safe for them to remain in either of those seven countries. I assume they will say that they did not feel safe there, but they should have to prove why.

Just ask them. They will say they are here for a better life. Many of the countries you list and the ones they come from are communist or socialist. Those forms of government degrade life for their citizens. But they or their ancestors voted for the free ride that communism and socialism promise. Is America to pay for the bad choices of the world?

People seek asylum because they are looking for safety. It would be fair to say that america is substantially more secure in almost every possible way compared to the countries you listed. Unless your claim is that america is as safe as the countries you mentioned. They already have to prove why they deserve asylum in the US. You’re complaining about something that border agents have already taken into consideration a long time ago. We are the shining city on the hill. We’re the nation built by migrants. The statue of liberty is at our shores for a reason.

Why do I care about what they’re going through? We have enough U.S. citizens with problems!!!

We have more than enough resources to take care of our own and the people whose countries we were heavily involved with. These are policy decisions, not resource or scarcity issues

    How ironic
Migrants seeking asylum at a massive rate

The original American settlers were also seeking asylum. They found it in America.

Ohhh BS! We need to create an "Fast Track Asylum" process. None meet the Asylum requirements, so therefore: Asylum request is DENIED, immediate deportationS!
