How to make a Slingshot Pouch

Step by step instructions on how to make a slingshot pouch. I'm using genuine kangaroo leather which is perfect for slingshot pouches. These size pouches are specifically designed for 9.5mm steel.

Can someone tell me why pouches are used?
It seems to make it actually work properly since mine wasn't quite working shot by it's rubber. If i am to make a pouch, can i do it without cutting the rubber? ( a pouch that is along the rubber and slides as rubber stretches)

What i do is make split poutches like a sling. That way the poutch naturally pops out the ammo

kangaroo is the best for tensile strength, but goat is pretty good. Cow is not good at all. "Kangaroo leather is lighter and stronger than the hide of a cow or goat. It has 10 times the tensile strength of cowhide and is 50% stronger than goatskin."

Why wouldn't you just use one of your pouches as a template to trace all your markings and lines. You could also make a template out of thin wood or plastic.
