      Dont use string??
      Use flat band strips and wrap snake wrap. Do about three wraps then lick the rubber and tie your knot twice.
      If you were rubber how would you feel being constricted even when your not in use?
      Band failure 101. Use rubber.

      @nathangrueber9834 agreed but I am not a fan of useing elastic to attach at the pouch. Adds too much weight and feels bulky. I used to use amber belt and Cristal string but the way I tune my bands I get some early failures now with the constrictor knot I am getting way more shots with high tuned bands. It works for me.

    • @nathangrueber9834
      @nathangrueber9834 Před 8 měsíci

      @@ATOMark i usta do string too.
      If i use 0.5 bands i don't use 0 .5 ties.
      Id use something really thin. Its not the ties im using to do the work; rather justvto create frictiin between the bands to hold the shelves.
      Tieing with heavier bands than the band thickness being used always gave me more band slap; which means more fine tuning.

    Theres no need to use 0.7mm to wrap and tie. It adds weight.
    0.4 even something you can see thru is fine.
    You dint need the fuss of the string wrap and tuck pull thru either. Just start in the middle of your wrapping strip and wrap from behind ; cross both ends over the front; do it again then lick the knot and tie twice.
    Simple.

    As the penny gradually drops on my part🫣...... Looks like i`m being a bit heavy handed with my .5 band to pouch tying.
    With .80 bands I get around 200-500 shots and with my .5 setup i`m getting around 20 to 50 shots. It doesn't matter whether i`m using constrictor not wrap and tuck or tape it breaks on the outside of the tie leaving the tie still attached to the pouch. I don`t have a problem with .7-1.0mm... I think i`m stretching the band too much as i`m wrapping/tying it off. I don`t max out my bands always 5-10mm extra..

    • @ATOMark
