I prefer AC1, I think a lot of the features AC2 added while cool don't really make AC1 any worse in retrospect since AC1 is fully designed around Altair's admittedly limited arsenal, I feel like AC1 as a whole is a much more cohesive, focused experience, where you have a bit more freedom to tackle objectives how you want, where I feel AC2 railroads you into playing a certain way with it's missions, especially the assassinations, there are many more reasons why I prefer AC1 but it boils down to me feeling like AC1 is the distilled essence of the series, a game focused purely on assassination more than any other game in the series

Ezio is always my favorite assassin
AC II was like a better AC 1, they tweaked every little thing, added the base for the shopping feature, with a slightly better story, a fleshed out main character, more detail in the cities, a bit more meaningful side content, new collectibles and more! But it is bleak compared to the newer games and the wide world they offer.
AC2 had a horrendous joke of a narrative, took out all the tension in the game, these games live and die on the atmosphere

Back then AC 2 was a improvement on the first one is every conceivable way. Even in how they introduced the Assassins and their creed for a new player
For me its ac2 but honestly when i first started playing assassin's creed 1 I enjoyed it although after watching this video i remembered that there were 2 things that i really hated when playing ac1 1st was The story was hard to understand 2nd I hated just running but at the end of the game i realized YOU CAN FAST TRAVEL!!!1... I really love both of the games since i played assassin's creed games in a sequel and i loved to see how it evolved. I love your videos. 😄

Altaïr can also use dagger for combat and ezio can use small boats in ac2
Altair can use all 5 weapons for combat
Ac is just finding a target and killing them ac2 has more variation like being stabbed by the target or assasinating them with a specific approach
Ac2 is many times better
Ac II allows to swim Pick up bodies have poison a humming bird gun graphic improvement combat improvement and more physics and more advanced parkour

In AC I Altaïr can't swim because its a bug of the first version of the animus, in the second version that bug get's solved
AC 1 is a beautiful game but since it came first there was definitly a few flaws. AC 2 undoubtedly ironed out some of the problems and was overall a beter game story wise and gameplay wise.
Ngl i loved the sound ac1 made when you assassinated someone its a shame it was later removed

I liked this video, but you didn't mention so many things about combat... Altaïr can also use the dagger, the hidden blade (unlike Ezio he can't attack, just parry and assassinate enemies that are taunting or scared) and his fists. He can also grab enemies and throw them away, dodge incoming attacks, and break the guard of heavy soldiers.
And Ezio's bare hands combat has evolved, he can use different attacks, disarm enemies, throw dust, and taunt.
I like your videos, and I like many parts of this one (nice work showing the parkour!), but you have rushed so much the combat

In Assassins Creed 2 you can see third Person in Eagle Vision and you can walk! In Assassins Creed you can NOT do this! ☹️
In lore sense the various assassination techniques such as air or ledge wasn't created until Altair became mentor with the help of Malik

Actually Altair could swim as well but it was a bug (glitch) in the animus it was mentioned by Lucy I think in AC2 and Ezio can take a boat too wdym?It's available

Swiming with all the weapons and protection is not so easy, AC 1 was right about this.

Honestly both games are very different. The atmosphere, the tone of the story, the templars in AC2 are just goofy ass villians from an 80s movie. Which one is better? Well that's just a matter of preference.

They downgraded the throwing knife. Also its broken in AC 2. Enemy turns around before getting hit and defects you also Un armored soldiers needs 2 hit to kill in some map which doesn’t make sense.
