It's funny how much a competent suspension solution changes how a car acts, when it comes down to it a solid axle is terrible for almost everything except drag racing and towing applications, IRS suspension is much better for even putting power to the ground because it can squat better
You rarely see it....but there has been some testing that clearly shows better handling but not near as good as what people think when comparing IRS to Live solid axle.
“Simply Bolt In” How many tri-five’s come from the factory with a Boxed Frame? The ultra light 56 came with a complete boxed in frame. Those were few & far between! So maybe not a easy bolt in is it??? I think he was a used car salesman in a prayer life...
I just bought the kit, Ive got a one piece frame that looks thicker than the one they are using, in fact the 3" saddle bolts are too short and the distance between the frame rails is also less that on their one, so making those two pinion supports fit is turning out to be fun. Ill give them a call tomorrow. Its a neat piece of gear, I cant wait to try it out.
10 -17K seems way high for just the rear IRS. You can purchase an entire Roaster Shop frame for that or less
Chris Hansen your only alternative is to go to Detroit Speed Engineering and spend 2-3x that much. Go fast is never cheap
GREAT!!!!! Rear: lower wishbones with driveshafts acting as upper links plus inboard discs reducing unsprung weight ; Front: double wishbones and rack & pinion. All mimics Jaguar "E"Type/XJ6 IRS perfectly. Full marks!!
Excellent
Do you have half shafts instead of c.v. drives?
BullyBilly.
Ive been looking for days for a kit for Chevelle A body and nothing to be found.
Do you have these 9” IRS kits available for old mustangs/falcons please?
What about an 02 Silverado 1500
I just bought 1 of these kits..It came all in pieces.Nothing assembled.
