    Suspension System:
The automobile vehicle's frame and body are mounted on the front and rear axle not directly but through some form of springs and shock absorbers. This is done to damp road shocks transmitted parts that perform this function are called a suspension system.
Thus, the suspension system includes springs, shock absorbers, and mountings. The suspension system of a motor vehicle is divided into rear-end suspension and front-end suspension.
    Types of Suspension Systems:
Independent suspension: In this type of suspension, each front wheel is independently supported by a coil, torsion bar, or leaf spring. Most passenger cars now use independent front suspension, in which the coil spring system is the most common.
    Types of Independent suspension:
    1. Macpherson Strut Suspension
    2. Double Wishbone Suspension
    3. Multilink Suspension
    4. Trailing Arm Suspension
Non-Independent or Rigid axle suspension: This type of suspension was universally used before independent front wheel suspension was introduced. It may use either two longitudinal leaf springs, as shown in the figure, or transverse springs, usually in conjunction with shock absorbers. These assemblies are mounted similarly to rear leaf spring suspensions.
Types of Non-Independent or Rigid axle suspension:
    1. Solid Axle Leaf Spring Suspension
    2. Solid Axle Coil Spring
    Other Suspension Types:
    1. Air Suspension
    2. Hydro Elastic Suspension

This is well done and easy to digest even for non car guys or beginners.
I would also like to add Torsion Bar rear suspension, it's also a non independent suspension common in economy cars. The torsion bar also acts as an anti roll bar but most of the time it is tuned for comfort. The design is simple and cheap to make also there is rarely a way to adjust the wheel alignment for such suspension.

      @netgnostic1627 Před rokem +1

The kind you're talking about acts as the anti-roll bar but not as the springs. The cars I'm aware of that have it use coil springs, not torsion bars. A true torsion bar suspension is found on the front of Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth rear-drive cars from the '60s to the '80s.

Yes, probably you refer to semi-independent suspension which is very popular today because its simplicity ,low cost and almost independent suspension. I have a car with this type of suspension and I am very satisfied with the behavior of the car.

Well done, thanks for making suspension easier to understand. The video was very detailed (if a little disorganised in places). This presentation would really step up a class with the addition of 2 concepts in the English language:
    - the definite and indefinite article needs to be added (“the” & “a”). Example: “the tyre” for a specific tyre, “a tyre” for any tyre.
    - plurals: most English words add an “S” at the end when referring to multiples. Example: “cats” is plural, “cat” is singular. However some words are both plural and singular. Example “sheep” or “fruit”.
English is hard - but I really appreciate you translating so I can understand your video.
