- It's always a bit of a hectic time in the evenings, but it's also one of my favorite parts of the day. I get to spend time with my children, helping them with their baths, reading stories, and tucking them into bed.
But before all that, there's still plenty of work to be done. You'll see my son Anthony taking charge of cooking for the little ones, making sure everyone gets fed (including our furry friends!), and then it's time for baths and bedtime routines.
I really believe that getting everything done the night before is key to starting the day off fresh and stress-free. That's why you'll see me and my kids tackling all the chores that need to be done before we hit the hay.
It's not always easy, but I wouldn't trade these moments for anything in the world. Being a foster dad is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I hope this video gives you a glimpse into what it's like to be part of our family.

When we were fostering our (now adopted) 4 1/2 year old daughter, she would get upset, miss, and worry about her (bio) mom, since she hadn’t seen her in over a year. Other than being a listening and caring ear, the only thing I knew to do was to pray for her mom. EVERY time I prayed for her, our little lady calmed down. It was something that I/we could DO in a really tough and heartbreaking situation. Thank you for what you are doing for these children, Peter, and for raising awareness in the need for foster families. You’re awesome!!

I am exhausted just watching this video! Anthony making Ramen was funny. Ramen has been around forever. I remember eating it when I was younger. Anthony may not realize it, but he is a good role model for the little kids. They look up to him. I love the prayers the children said. You provide a safe and loving home for them. Your new house provides so much room and is so crisp and clean. Childhood goes by in the blink of an eye. You have provided good memories for these children. I pray for the day you are able to adopt the two older little kids. The bond you have with them is so strong. But put your seatbelt on for girls and the drama they have when they get older....LOL.

I love the book y ou read to your kids. Love hearing you read to your kids. Those were good things kids need to know. Also, enjoyed hearing you pray with your kids. It is nothing wrong with your toddler calling you Daddy. You are the Daddy she knows and you are taking care of this poor baby like she is your child.
That child is bless to have you in her life. I agree Anothony should cook more not just for himself but for you and his siblings. Yes, continue to teach Anothony how to make full course meals for the family. Meat with side dishes. Also, in response to the smaller kids saying he do not want to talk to them. That is not a teen thing. Some teens interact with smaller kids to make them feel loved and important without any holdback and they are careful what they do or say infront of smaller kids because they want to be a good role model. I was one of those type of teenagers and hung around other teenagers that was the same way. I loved influencing kids to talk and behave respectable and soar toward making good choices in life. Also, I spent time showing kindness to my younger siblings and did everything within my ability to help them. Anothony just needs coaching and prayer to be this way consistantly toward his siblings.
thank you for your kind words. the other kids call me papa, it's natural for her to call me papa since its the common word in my family. she is learning to speak and she is a little behind, so at this point I take what I have and be thankful she is finally saying something.

I love how all the know it alls come on here to give their two cents as if they're word is law. 🙄😒 Peter is doing a great job. He is doing all that he can to help these kids. We shouldn't be so judgmental of what he feeds them or what the little ones call him. After all he IS the one caring for them not the biological parents. Furthermore we're only seeing a snippet of his life with the children. We do not know how they really live day in and day out. It's okay that Anthony did Mac and cheese, it's okay that he did Ramen noodles 🍜 I'm sure all that criticize are the same ones that would take their children to a McDonald's drive-thru. 😑 this is just one night that he showed us. Be kind people, and if you can't be kind say nothing at all move along.
And lastly, the baby might have been calling out for her real dad... but guess what? It's Peter who's there. So I did not find it offensive or wrong for him to have said daddy is here. And for those saying oh you should have told her to just say papa.. guess what? Papa means dad. Lmao.. people are insane these days. Lord help us. And if you think that by them calling him papa is better because it distinguishes between he and the real father. It may... but that's silly thinking. Because the words mean the same thing!

Peter, ramen noodles can be the base for a very fulfilling meal.
It's cheap and easy!
A little goes a long ways!
I didn't know anything about ramen noodles until I was married.
You can dress up Ramen in all kinds of ways!
I enjoy Chicken Ramen just like Anthony is making.
I add chicken, boiled eggs, green onions, and Velveeta cheese plus my favorite seasonings.
Ramen comes in many different seasonings.
Oriental, chicken, beef, pork,, shrimp, hot and spicy.
You can add beef to the beef.
Chicken to the chicken.
Shrimp to the shrimp.
Pork to the pork.
Oriental meats to the Oriental.
The best thing about Ramen is it Cooks in 2 to 3 minutes!
I always put the seasoning directly into the water!. Because the noodles need to absorb the seasonings as they cook!
Be very careful to follow the directions because you're not going to drain the water off of the noodles!
It's like a delicious soup!
Dice all the ingredients before you put them into the ramen that has been fully cooked.
YUM-YUM GOOD!
AND FOUR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR!

I used to make macaroni and cheese and chop up hot dogs in it or make meat balls and toss in. Home Made Sloppy Joes, spaghetti, stuff like that is pretty easy for older kids to make and takes about the same amount of time as that boxed stuff....worst part is waiting for noodles to cook HAHA!!! Heck I've even made pancakes for dinner sometimes.

Some advice for Anthony if he wants to experiment some more with the curry ramen: I love curry soups myself and if you want to make it more filling you can add carrots, tomatoes, onions, garlic, bell peppers, chick peas, potatoes, whatever veggies you want prior to the noodles so they have the time to cook. Then for seasoning I’d add cumin, turmeric, curry, oregano, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder. I also use chicken boullion or any type of boullion as a base. It ends up being way cheaper in the long run than continuing to buy chicken broth or other broths. You can get it at Costco or other places and you just add a few spoonfuls to hot water and it dissolves completely into it. The boullion ingredients taste the same as the packets in ramen but are way healthier for you. Also Anthony if you haven’t tried Marsala before, it’s absolutely amazing. I often make curry dishes with just a ton of veggies, some coconut milk, the spices I listed above plus the Marsala, and let it sit in a pan on low for awhile. You can also add chicken and other stuff and serve it over naan and rice. I love Indian food because it’s super filling and you can make it for cheap with whatever meat or protein you want and with a variety of veggies. Also if you haven’t tried before, combining sweet things with savory can be super good. Like adding mango to spicy Indian things helps reduce spice and it pairs super well with most Indian spices. I’m not Indian myself or anything but I tend to love their spices and food and hope my little random explorations into their food could help you make some yummy food!

Anthony: try doing some green or orange vegetables to your ramen, for colour, flavour and texture (as well as vitamins and fibre). Some of my favourites: Frozen corn, spring onions, broccoli chopped into small florets, julienned carrot , a handful of spinach or chopped Napa cabbage. You can scramble a whole egg into the noodles when they’re still cooking. You can add flavours, like
chopped garlic or ginger, chilli oil or toasted sesame seeds. Look up how to make ramen eggs - they are the most delicious addition to ramen.

I love adding ground beef or sausage to mac and cheese.
There's all kind of noodles and seasonings with hamburger helper boxes in your grocery store
sometimes we do add a little protein
Ask you to drain the macaroni first you add melted butter! And stir.
Then the cheese butter melts better with the butter.
Then a little milk or water to make it creamy.
