      We've got some recommended runs on our website which might be helpful. Bear in mind the the better built and more solid ones tend to be a bit more pricey but there's a good variety there so hopefully it will help - www.guineapiggles.co.uk/guinea-pig-runs

      Hi Bernadette, thank you so much for your lovely feedback and I'm really glad it helped. It's not easy trying to work out how to make a lid which is why we made the video to help people like you who were tearing their hair out over it :D

    Just used this video using grids with 7 squares to make a 5x2 lid and it worked perfectly!! Instructions were so easy I got it in one try even adjusting for less squares and one more grid. I used 160 zip ties on the whole thing together and it's amazing how sturdy it feels and smoothly it opens. Thanks so much!! Do recommend this method and video😊

    If I want to build a 2x2 loft, could I use a support bar to support the loft instead of 2 grids between the loft and ground floor? Would there be a gap?

    • @GuineaPiggles
      @GuineaPiggles  Před 3 lety

      You need the grids for it to be sturdy, I'm not sure how you could achieve it with just a support bar because the coroplast isn't strong enough. It's easy to do with the grids though :) What is the set up you're thinking of - were you going to have the lid? Also, have you seen this video on building a 2x4 grid C&C with 2x2 loft czcams.com/video/FSZTrkIF4DE/video.html

      @@GuineaPiggles Yes I have seen the video. I was just curious because i was looking on the guinea pig cage store website, and it looked like their lofts had no support grids underneath and i wanted to know if that was what the support bars were for, but I guess not 🙃

    What is the black liner you have? And where did u get it from?

    • @GuineaPiggles
      @GuineaPiggles  Před 4 lety +2

      The black liner is coroplast and you can buy it on Amazon - check out the links in the description for the recommended coroplast. You can also buy it in white and sometimes other colours too.

    I'm in US and the link below isn't working for the support bar on ebay, any other suggestions for getting one or making one in USA?

      I am in agreement with Danaguess80. Really need those metal supports for this project and I can't locate them here in the U.S.

      I think it might have been on Amazon or possibly Ebay.
