    Not much improvements over the years, really dissppointed. He is one of the more exciting players, with crisp, clean shots.
    Hope he wont be another Jimmy White, another extremely talented snooker player.

    • @dailynotinteresting4325
      @dailynotinteresting4325 Před 2 lety

      He's struggled with consistency, and dropped off the main tour for a couple of years. You can see here he often runs out of position but makes up for it with almost supernatural potting ability. The hope at the time was that he'd maintain the potting and improve positional play, whereas when you see him now, he plays better positionally, but his ultra-confident potting game of the past isn't quite there. He would need both to be the phenomenon people were expecting.

      @@dailynotinteresting4325 After you uploaded your comment, Zhao has even become a creative shot-maker and acquired a decent safety game. As he proved in the UK Championship '21, the Championship League '22 and the German Masters '22 (where he hasn't lost a single match and sensationally won 70% of his frames played, against opponents like Trump, Selby, Higgins, Williams, Hawkins, Bingham, Brecel, Lisowski, Walden, Perry, Day, Ford, Xiao, Yan), he already is the man to beat, leading the "1 Year List" by quite a margin. Judd dominated the game for two seasons, and if he had continued to do so, he would have forced me to reconsider the G.O.A.T.-question. But thanks to Zhao, for the time being Ronnie's throne is safe again. :-)

      @knryan82 Před 2 lety +1

      Well he seems to have improved from the back end of 2021 so maybe your comment spurred him on. He won his first triple crown event at the 2021 UK Championship. He has since backed this up to prove he isn't a flash in the pan, with the 2022 German Masters (winning 9-0 in the final no less). Prior to this, only 2 players had whitewashed their opponent over 2 sessions in a ranking event final, in the history of the game (a feat not even completed by Ronnie or Hendry).
      Then to top off his excellent rise in the game, he is currently sat at number 1 in the provisional season rankings meaning the others will need to keep up with him to keep him from becoming the actual world number 1. He is the future of the modern game

      well it appears you're not following. Currently, he's one of the best in the world if not the best in the world. He beat Trump 4 1 in the German masters. I think you should look him up before you post these comments.

    Zhao played especially badly. Something is wrong with this game. Maybe it was because of the money.

  • @osacrdekter476
    @osacrdekter476 Před 2 lety

    Zhao is to good for the game and makes it look to easy . If he keeps improving he will run out of all competition and the game will become boring . He has put a spark back into the English players efferts to find a way to beat him.

    • @alokbilkhu
      @alokbilkhu Před 2 lety

      John Higgins (although not English as you commented) seems to have found a way to beat him and that seems to be to starve Zhao of chances. John is a very tough match player. I've never seen anyone play better than Zhao in the last 10 years, but I doubt he'll beat John Higgins again.
