Well, Kaspersky was one of my favorite antivirus, but a few weeks before Russia's invasion of Ukraine all my personal computers started to get slow and getting kinda faulty with unusual traffic to unknown destinations...So when I found out that it is a Russian company with alleged ties with the Russian's secret service I uninstalled completely from all my computers and installed Total AV, the weird behavior stopped immediately so for that reason, I won't install Kaspersky again, but it served me well for two years.

I use Avira only because it has that real time protection in free version. When it comes to online threats it's pretty close to TotalAV but TotalAV probably beats it in that regard but I don't mind as long as I get decent performance.
In my experience windows 10 don't really need 3rd party security protection don't do it trust me just keep update your windows security that all you need should be excellent protection must better than 3rd party security protection
He didnt mention the Auto renewal that everybody gets caught with, they charge the full price. and you always get annoying pop ups trying to get you to buy add ons. What annoyed me is the fact they tell you its free but it isnt, its free for a month then you have to pay for it, and then they cut you off.!!

Kaspersky vs. Microsoft defender performance Downloaded the latest Kaspersky Security Cloud Free 2021 today (wondering if I want more security than MS defender). Network download speed (this is in a Virtual box Windows 10 (latest updates)): 470+ Mbps After Kaspersky Security Cloud Free 2021 install (Windows security referenced Kaspersky virus software as expected. ): 270-300 Mbps. Deinstalled the Kaspersky VPN (even though it was not running): 270-300 Mbps. Deinstalled all Kaspersky software: 470+ Mbps. Repeated 3 times. Conclusion? In the setup above Kaspersky does not offer enough additional protection to give up 170-200 Mbps of bandwidth. I can't believe that all Kaspersky implementations suck up all that network bandwidth, or nobody would be using the software. Maybe something with the Cloud versions of Kaspersky?
When you download the free version, there's a possibility to activate a "premium-trial." This just means you can try the premium version, for a limited amount of time. Aside from this, there is a completely free version which offers basic protection.
