But I feel his unconsoling pain because the massacre of the innocents in Texas was grievous and despicable in the worse unmerciful way. Needless assassinations will continue to develop because guns are easy to access to annihilate people, purposely for the sick pleasures of evil shooters. This is always gonna be a hot topic debate in this country and it's sad that there's no easy way to fix this without having to resort to measures that will piss people off and.
On one hand I absolutely am in favor of the 2nd amendment and what it stands for and if you are a responsible, law-abiding citizen of this country then there should be nothing stopping you from purchasing and owning a gun that is legally available to the public.
On the other hand so many of these nutcases do this heinous act 9 times out of 10 with an AR-15. So there's a part of me that thinks maybe that particular gun shouldn't be available for civilians. There's a part of me that questions why anyone would need a powerful gun like that. For what purpose? Certainly not for hunting. Peter makes a point here had the shooter had a knife or a pistol we wouldn't be having this conversation.
And the argument about putting armed guards at schools and whatnot, while I get that and do want our children to be save, this shows how bad the situation is that we basically got to turn schools to resemble prisons. And it's not like these shootings only take place at schools. Earlier in the year the supermarket in Buffalo, 2017 it was that music festival in Vegas, 2016 was the Orlando nightclub, years before that was the movie theater in Aurora, Col. So what do we gotta get armed guards at every single public establishment? Might as well throw our hands up in the air and just admit that we as a country CAN'T stop this. That this CAN'T be prevented. Because our love for the 2nd amendment will keep allowing these lunatics to get guns they really shouldn't have

Michaels right that’s what I been saying for years, our founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment right at a time when it was muskets, which at most you could shoot 3-4 rounds per minute, and at time when there was no local police departments, and we hunted for food to feed ourselves, there was no grocery / and or connivence store’s in every city/ community, you think they would’ve wrote it with in mind that non-military/police could buy assault rifles and large magazines. If they knew what has happened and continue’s to happen was gonna happen every year, the 2nd amendment would’ve been written a lot different than it is. I been saying it for years.

However, that would have led to MILLIONS of civilian casualties and would have caused major international backlash. So, we sent soldiers into enemy territory to fight the Taliban. And even with that automatic disadvantage, we were still able to take over most of their power to where they no longer ruled over the majority of Afghanistan. So Imagine how much easier it would be for the military to seize power on their own turf if they wanted to. Your AR-15 is not going to protect you from a drone strike.
