- Is it safe to walk around Osaka, Japan at night? In this video, I walked from Sennichimae Doguyasuji shopping street to Den-Den Town (Nipponbashi) to Shinsekai to Tennoji area.
Sennichimae Doguyasuji (千日前) shopping street dedicated to selling household goods, kitchenware, pottery & tools.
Den-Den Town aka Nipponbashi (日本橋) is known for its many shops which specialize in furniture, tools, and "otaku" interests such as electronics, anime, manga, and collectibles. Nipponbashi is often compared to Akihabara Electric Town, its equivalent (in terms of focus) in Tokyo.
Shinsekai (新世界) is an old neighbourhood located next to south Osaka City's downtown "Minami" area. The neighbourhood was created in 1912 with New York as a model for its southern half and Paris for its northern half. At this location, a Luna Park amusement park operated from 1912 until it closed in 1923.
Tsūtenkaku (通天閣, meaning "Tower Reaching Heaven"), owned by Tsūtenkaku Kanko Co., Ltd., is a tower and well-known landmark of Osaka, Japan and advertises Hitachi. It is located in the Shinsekai district of Naniwa-ku, Osaka. Its total height is 103 m; the main observation deck is at a height of 91 m.
Abeno Harukas (あべのハルカス) is 300 meters tall and has 62 floors, making it the tallest building in Japan. The reconstruction began in January 2010, and opened on March 7, 2014

I just love these kind of videos so much, because there are no annoying blurrs and censors. Those wouldn't be possible in Europe but I really really enjoy those silent walks with a very busy but calm atmosphere. Also that night is so amazing!!!

I recognize the route along Nipponbashi, there's a kind of buzz around Osaka that is very different from Tokyo, and I daresay that Osaka is my favorite Japanese city. Thanks for sharing this!
Beautiful country , every city in japan night time is very colourful . Japanese peoples has good eyes of mixing colours, you never get bored at night walking in japan .

I encourage you to visit japan , beautiful country , very safe country probably best safety country in the world , best clean country in the world , fantastic food and not expensive , beautiful cultures and very polite peoples . Very easy friendly public transport , you don’t need to speak Japanese as most public places has English sign , restaurants has English menu , But there is a problem , peoples who visit japan will comes back again and again for more 😂

What I first notice at the beginning, is the sound of human voices and conversations in the pedestrian area, such as I might expect in Western cities. But I've watched some similar videos of walks in Tokyo and heard almost nothing. Is this due to differences in the time of day, audio equipment, cultural differences, or something else?
Osaka is a lot less formal, it is very laid back.
