The joy, laughter, raw emotions that came from his many ideas, series will forever be remembered. Now knowing that he is no longer with us… Feels wrong… To celebrate his gifts to us I am going to watch Dragon Ball. In 1997 I was a 11 year old boy (tomorrow I'll turn 38 so guess that makes me old haha) seeing the first episodes of Dragon Ball! It was an instant bonding with the anime and the main figure who we followed through countless challenges. From DB to DBZ and to DBS (I also loved DBGT too though it was not Toriyama's own work) it mostly glued me to the couch with it's twists and turns! I feel Akira Toriyama created not just a visualy appealing "show" but one that has many wise pointers for the young ones and for those who are "lost at Snake Way"! Goku is the materialization of real life struggles we all face! One pure of heart can overcome ANY obstacle that life throws at him/her! As long as you put your ALL into it! Even if you first fail there is always more room for improvement! But you don't need to face every challenge alone! The ones who you meet during the way and get attached to your positive spirit will always be with you! There is also hope for those who are against you in some way who can change for the better thanks to you and/or your friends (best example is Vegeta). Starting off from low (rank) doesn't meen you cannot achieve greater heights! The only real limit to your growth is not believing in yourself! You only need to focus on one thing: NEVER GIVE UP! I could go on and on about the endless teachings I feel Akira Toriyama has shown me (and to millions of fans for sure) but I'll cut it here! From the anime series and movies of DB franchise to collecting DB cards, playing DB videogames and nearly completing the full DB Figure-Rise model kit set (40+ figures assembled by me): THANK YOU AKIRA TORIYAMA! R.I.P Toriyama you changed my life I watched your dragon ball series since I was 7 I love the anime you created, it’s no doubt the goat 🐐 of all anime and it’s 1990 animation still keeps up with todays, the color, art, characters, character development like Vegeta’s. He was a villain but Goku turned him into a hero by his kindness and life changing dedication, as well as Goku he was a saiyan and a violent kid when he grew up but it was when he fell off a cliff that changed him, he didn’t have much friends but he has the whole world as friends as well as his rival, Vegeta. Dragon Ball changed my life with its comedy, action, and its characters seriously R.I.P Toriyama (sorry if I spelled anything wrong I’m in the car right now.)
