    Great job! I'm trying to mount an old 300/400 series cab to my '72 square fender 110 and your videos have given me some ideas on how to make it work. Thanks for posting this!

    Awesome job, I’ve been looking for ways to do this on my JD 214, now I think it’s possible. I’ve looked at the cheap plastic-frames/covers you can buy elsewhere, they just don’t look like they will hold up. I’m already running late as we are already getting snow, and BLUF ( bottom line up front) it isn’t fun to get that cold snow blowing back in your face. Hopefully I can still get it done before the heavy stuff starts. Thx again, Happy Turkey Day to you. LW

    only change I would make is add a couple more windows, 2 exactly. one on each side by the knee to foot area, on the front of the cab. I built my first cab with a very similar design, but soon found this area may not seem like much but when it is built like this you cannot see the enough of your blower to operate safely around cars an other things you don't want to run into.

      I may do that. Didn't get much snow last year after completion.
      I'm sure I'll come up with a few mods and improvements as I use it more. Looking forward to it.

      I have added the lower windows, comes in handy around the parked cars!

    I ran into your video a couple of years ago and want to build one. I have a 317, should be pretty much same size. Do you have a material list for square tube? I can figure it out but would be nice to have ball park. Very nice job!

    • @Anttiajt
      @Anttiajt  Před 2 lety

      Thanks.
      I do not have a material list.
      Unfortunately my garage burned down Feb 2020 and I lost the tractor. I did grab the Cab frame from the ruins in case I acquire another 300 model that might fit.
      It was a fun project to work that’s for sure

      Lower for athstetics? I just made sure it fit under the garage header. Would've like a couple more inches wider on each side tho.

    Anttiajt, I do have a few questions if I may ask. 1) When you did the back of the cab, you angled it out and up, was this angle iron bolted to the main cab frame or welded? If it was welded, what did you use to cover the gas tank during the welding? 2) Can you tell me just how tall your cab is, maybe from the ground up, or from front fender up and then from rear fender up? I’ve viewed your video many many times, I don’t have metal tubing just angle iron so I’m sure I’ll have some modifications from what you did. BLUF (bottom line up front) you did an excellent job. LW

    • @Anttiajt
      @Anttiajt  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks L W.
      it is welded, I needed seat room without compromising access to fill gas tank. I can't remember exactly but I know at times I used extra welding gloves and an asbestos blanket for covering the fenders and tank filler.
      The rear is 6'-0" above ground level and the front is 6'-1".
      I'm sure all angles will be just fine. I had a pile of both. If you use the wood similar to what I did everything will stiffen up plenty.
      Good luck!

    Why are you using so much wood? I suppose I could understand using it in the panels as a backer for heat retention but other that that I don't understand why you've got wood in this project. Please enlighten me boss man!
