I really wished James mentioned that Jennifer's death scene was based off an actual murder (well granted, that would probably destroy the vibes) but it was based off Elyse Pahler who was murdered by three teenagers as a sacrifice to Satan, the police believed they did it because of inspiration from a rock band named Slayer, it's truly heartbreaking and terrifying.
The police don't believe that. Nobody but her mother believes that. She sued Slayer twice and it was dismissed both times.

Absolutely hilarious! He sounded so much like Patrick Star! No joke! I've never heard such a funny line like that in a horror movie since Ricky from Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 uttered 2 words: "GARBAGE DAY!". I can't stop laughing about it 😂😆😆

Honestly, one of the points i don't see almost anyone talking about is how jennifer not only keeps needy as a friend bc of knowing her for so long, but also because its someone that makes her feel superior, a dorky friend that will always make her look better. So yeah, that line is TOTALLY in character.

I love how even on the commentary track they mention that "only in Hollywood would you cast Amanda Seyfreid as the ugly best friend."
And yet, there is a line where Jennifer is saying that Needy has to look nice, but not *too* nice, not upstaging Jennifer. So I think the film acknowledges that Needy is just as pretty, she just doesn't put the same effort into looking her best or have the confidence and presentation to draw attention to herself. It's some interesting nuance.

Jennifer’s body is so iconic. I remember watching this with my friend when we were 11 and her room was actually the attic refurbished into a room. it’s like 2 am and my friend falls asleep halfway through so one of the stamps in my childhood is watching this movie IN AN ATTIC basically by myself in the middle of the night. it was terrifying lmaoo.

True story, we went to see this in theaters without my roommate Jennifer. This was when movie theaters had some cell phone blockers, so before the movie my roommates mum calls asking if we've seen her as her phone died while walking home. Service was bad, and her mum kept cutting out and I guess I did too because apparently all her mum heard was that we were going to see Jennifer Body/Jen wasn't with us.
Needless to say post movie I had many a voice mail from her frantic mum who thought my roommate had been murdered on her way home. Whooops

It's a pretty neat trick that does indeed look a bit like the succubus pukage, and makes for a lesson physics teachers can actually get bored student's attention with, much like blowing up hydrogen balloons with a match.
