Once, I had an appointment with an insurance salesman at my home, which I had completely forgotten about. I was watching TV, happily eating a bowl of popcorn. I have to explain that I purposely let my popcorn burn ever so slightly because I like it that way. (Weird, I know, but I like it, okay?!) Anyway, there is a knock on the door and I suddenly remembered, it's the insurance dude! I answered the door with a smile and welcomed him into the house. He had brought his supervisor with him, why I don't remember, but he did. The appointment lasted about 20 min. and as soon as they left I made a trip to the bathroom and while washing my hands, I happened to glance in the mirror. Y'all, my teeth had burnt popcorn all up in between them! It looked like I had the worst, cavity infested, crusty, rotten, horrible teeth! I looked like I needed to get them things all pulled and be fitted for some dentures asap! I was horrified as I remembered smiling and flashing my nasty looking teeth at them the whole time! That happened twenty years ago and I still get embarrassed when I think it about it today! 😖

Just seent you in Paso for the first time since our 1 yr anniversary in SJ Improv 2008. We now here in SLO County. Great show 👏🏽 u 15 yrs in the game and we'll be 15 yrs soon. Great topic. I stay trippin over minor things; can't sleep, feel like a jerk. And go hard on myself. PTSD SO RAW. Embarrassing things you can get over but humiliating things still hit you different decades later. Hard to recover. Maybe Yawl can talk discuss that.
In my younger life one of my summer jobs as a waitress in a pub, i spilled a whole tray of beer on someone and he asked me out....lol I was mortified for months.
The drink thing on the airplnae I can relate. I had coffee on a business trip and accidentally fell asleep while drinking it and spilled it on the woman next to me. I apologized so much and she kept saying, "it's okay. It happens." And I was sitting there like, I don't think this usually happens.

Angela first of all thank you for talking about real world issues. I’m not married but someone that I dearly love is having marital problems and I wish I could fix all of his problems. But clearly this is something between two people and it’s between them two. Seeing this and hearing your husband that close people around you are having issues, too. I would like to hear how to help this person to see that the best he can do is going separate ways. They got married too young. Seems like she’s going through stuff she hasn’t been honest to him. But in their fights she has told him she wasn’t in loved when they got married, but he’s the first one who got her pregnant. Now this last part upsets me because I read that as she was fooling around with others? Now the issue why the problems started is because I guess she’s cheated and she’s doing stuff that just looks weird and I know that would mess any man in that situation. They have 3 kids two of them young adults. Nobody in her family knows what she has done and she has clearly told him she wants to separate/divorce. For some reason he doesn’t even knows why he’s just not ready to brake it off. However because of all I know I don’t think he deserves that nor their kids. But again I know that a two person relationship and all I can do is be there for him even when it infuriates me her attitude and what she has done of him. Because of her possessive and jealousy he has no friends and she has done a pretty good job to keep him away from even family. I hope you can give him some advice as well as to me on how to help him get out of that toxic relationship. Thank you!
I like to think it's because I'm not the person who looks to or enjoys offending another (on purpose) and worry that someone would misinterpret something I say or do: but then I start over thinking and beating myself up over it....that is pride and insecurities of what people think about me.

Might also be your literal personality types. Certain personalities are more like this because for example intuitive types are more susceptible at obsessing over sensory details because those are their weaker functions- especially as we age because our minds and bodies are not as 100% like they were in our 20s. You two should take a MBTI personality test. Might be an insightful experience.
Regarding your dog. Having a bad a experience with a dog when I was a little girl I don’t like to be even near one. I’ve had dogs run to my feet, lick me or want to play. I’m just not that person. So, if I was that person sitting right next to you I would of asked to be moved to another seat. Sorry, but not sorry?!
