What an incredible time we live in. I’m currently in the U.S. and watching an instructional video posted by a guy in India. By glancing at the comments I see people from all over the world doing the same. This is an excellent video btw and helped me understand this better than any other I found about the subject. Can we use flywheel to store energy when we break the car ? Every car has a spare wheel if we use that wheel as a flywheel it can store energy when we break the car ,and use that stored energy when we re-start the car. Suppose I have a battery car . And drive it at 80km/hour speed. And spare wheel also run at 80km/h speed. Suddenly i found a bump and slowdown it at 10km/h but flywheel run continuously at 80km/h . Now flywheel hasn't any friction so it will take long time to showdown, now after bump I again increase speed at that time I will gives small part of energy to flywheel till it get equal speed of car. Now flywheel connect with generator and charge battery. So my battery will charge continuously during car speed less then flywheel.
