So reading through the comments people have pointed out there is a 2 on the box but is under all the text......and yeah know what.....I JUST NOTICED THAT HOLY CRAP. I've played this game for years and never saw it wow.... thank you for pointing it out but all I have to say to that is.....*whisper*.......that thing is hidden as crap.

Great video oh and pro tip for up your arsenal use the duel bladed light sword cheat that is in the game I don't care if you want a challenge the game offers it use it my lady *snikering* hehehe

i love original triology..but if i must choose from first tree games,second part is my favorite and in my opinion best in all franchize
RAC 3, 1 then 2, while yes 2 is more polished for what it is, RAC 1’s style is just better imo, sue me

There is a beautiful simplicity in not feeling bad about missing exp due to using the wrench.
If you've watched the play through that two of the devs for Going Commando did, they explain as to why the snow crystal level was so hard. One of the guys in the play through was the one who coded and made te level, and he did it in a single day.
But one of the reasons it's so hard compared to other levels, is because the yeti snow monsters breaks the design philosophy when it comes to melee enemies. For the entire game, all melee enemies are either extremely slow approaching you, giving you time to avoid their attacks. Or their attacks have this wind-up mechanic to them. You can see them trying to attack you before they actually hit you. But for some reason, the yeti monsters doesn't have this. So if they get close to you, they can land an attack before you are able to dodge out of the way.
Use bouncer against yeti
The plot twist is weakened if you didn't play the original.

You need the Qwark figurine to get the bolt magnet so you don't have to run around picking up your bolts or missing any because you don't see them
I don't care what you say about ratchet and clank 1, it still had a superior story and character arch.
FatCatFroggie Since the original trilogy wasn’t big on story, you might as well not even mention it. What matters is level design, gameplay, and weapons. Going Commando has it beat on all three of those categories.

awesome video! :) Going Commando was my first one too, and honestly one of my top favorites, if not my #1 fav of these games. It made me appreciate ALL of the changes they made from the first R&C when I played through that one for the first time. (MY GOD you're practically broke and everything costs so much! I died getting the RYNO but it was worth it) I've been playing this series for a loonnng time and watching your videos brings me a lot of joy in having someone else understand all of these things and details about the games.

if comparing different titles in a series isn't utterly impossible in your mind this shouldn't even be an issue
The 2016 game was the first R&C game I played, and I was actually interested in checking out the other games. The second playthrough of the game was really fun though. I have Up Your Arsenal so far and I still want to get the other games in the series
@@leeman27534 They are clearly different games because one of them is really, really bad and one is really, really good. BOTH OF US in this instance mean that they are so different in terms of how good they are but you wouldn't understand in your limited brain.
Going commando is still in my top 5 favorite games of all time. One of the best

In the dogfighting areas you can shoot the ice crystals for raritanium and also torpedo the smaller asteroids for the same and ship ammo
Going Commando is the only Ratchet & Clank game I have gone back and replayed over and over again.

hey super buns, have you ever thought of playing final Fantasy dissidia for the psp/psvita. this game is worth doing a for beginners and it's is a super fun game to play and it touch a pond old final Fantasy main heros and villain from 1-10 and all a unique way to play each one. please do review it or at least play it for you own enjoyment.
I played the first game as a kid. i have an undying nostalgia for it. but yes the second game slaps hard.
I realise this video is 3 years old but I'm replaying Tools of Destruction, and the ship segments in 2 are a goddamn GODSEND compared to the crap in ToD.
Literally playing it right now, the ship in this is still better than ToD.
Honestly the ship levels and glider missions are whats keeping me from returning to ratchet 2 lol

In the UK we didn't have any of the title subtitles, they were renamed to 2 and 3. So it was hard to miss that they were sequels over here.

7:29 - Because they're fun and awesome? I LOVE these sequences! Also, for the record, the best place to get Raratanium ore is in the second set of space missions. During the saboteur mission, kill all but one of them and just fly around shooting space junk. It will take AGES for the last ship to actually come close to making you fail the mission so you'll have more than enough time to get a ton.
9:47 - I never play games in the dark, but even with that being the case, there is one sequence where you're going to need to prepare that I'm shocked you presumably failed to recall: During the fight with the Thugs 4 Less boss fight when he's in a giant robot and you're on foot (not on Clank's back) you have to rely on turrets to inflict damage. And not even the PSN version of the game altered the projectiles, so for the sake of your eyes *PUH-LEEZ* have sunglasses or the equivalent at the ready because the fight is tediously long and the nigh-incessant turret fire will NOT be kind to your eyes.

surprised you didn't mention the ability to clip outside of the map by going into the first person mode, jumping at a wall, and constantly swinging your wrench while looking at a downward angle. It makes a joke out of a lot of the arena fights

I would just follow the tip i read long ago. Buy the chopper, then the bouncer, then the ryno. The challenge money, and crystal fields will be more than enough to cover the costs... if there are preferred weapons and armor you want to buy, they can be bought after.
forgot the most important tip, once you get to tabora grind till 150k bolts. get the bouncer and youre good for the rest of the game
notice the stripe that starts in the end of clank and ends in the beginning of going commando, there is the 2 is made by clank, that stripe, and the sub title

I'm a little surprised you didn't bring up the fact that several of the weapons from the first game were brought back for this one with one of them having a major improvement over the first iteration
technically there is a 2 on the box if you look hard enough where the c is in clank is the start of the 2 follow it down to going commando and over there's your 2.

You can actually see the two in the title you look have to look really close at space between Ratchet & Clank and the Subtitle. It's extremely subtle. Kind of like the innuendo of the subtitle.

You aknowledged that the shape of the logo is a 2. but for places outside the US, it was called Ratchet and Clank 2: Locked and Loaded.

I beated this game over 20 times and 2 times blindfolded (space section was the worst for blindfolded challange)...
played original first triology..on ps 2..i crancked up more than 1500 in all 3 games..to this day i cant tell i played more fun game..and finally found good ps2 emulator for pc,so im back on them :)
