      Both UWA and Curtin are highly regarded in the West. If you’re looking to work in Perth, one of the major industries is mining and they do employ a lot of environment specialists, including marine and coastal. In this case, Curtin has an advantage because it has one of the world’s leading mining programs.

    Choosing between unisa and curtin and monash for teaching degree (ECE), any advice in terms of the friendliness of the people in the city, and which city has warmer and more stable weather? And is curtin alright with education ?

    • @ChoosingYourUni
      @ChoosingYourUni  Pƙed 2 lety +2

      These are all good universities for various reasons.
      Monash is a large, research intensive uni - great programs and links to current research. Tonnes of student opportunities from clubs and societies to overseas study. It's a bit outside the heart of Melbourne, which has upsides and downsides. But it's a great uni.
      UniSA has the best education program in South Australia. Education is at the Magill and Mawson Lakes campuses, which are outside the city centre. Adelaide is a pretty city with a lower cost of living than elsewhere. It is also one of the universities that has best dealt with Covid, in my view.
      Curtin is a great uni - Perth is a wonderful city. The uni ranks very well for education and is pretty large, so has lots of opportunities for students.
      Overall the weather is warmer and more stable in Perth and Adelaide than Melbourne. I also find them to be 'friendlier" - nothing against Melbourne, I just think that the bigger the city is, the trickier it can sometimes be.

    • @ChoosingYourUni
      @ChoosingYourUni  Pƙed 5 lety +3

      @@Mandaunusantara Good questions.
      Both Curtin and UWA have good marketing/management courses. If you look at these rankings you'll see that both programs are well ranked (depending on the ranking survey): www.mbanews.com.au/mba-rankings/
      You should also look at www.qilt.edu.au, the Australian Governmnet's "quality" website for universities. You'll be able to search for "Business" for each university and look at things like student satisfaction, job outcomes etc.
      My personal opinion is that you should also look at the other things that these universities offer OUTSIDE the classroom that might interest you: clubs, internships, overseas study opportunities, leadership programs etc.
      These extracurricular things are completely personal to you, so look for things that YOU find interesting and consider them as part of your decision - in my opinion what you have access to outside the classroom is just as important as what you can access inside the classroom.
