They were very lucky to have an artist of Kolpakova's calibre to coach them. She was one of the greatest ballerinas in the history of the Kirov, and basically the last great dancer taught by Vaganova.

I once saw pictures of a male ballet dancer feet…a lifetime dancer…they were very damaged but he was still dancing! All that force takes a toll.

I saw them perform this, it was a gorgeous.
Lane was let go from the company with no announcement. She is guest performing with Houston Ballet this season. I wish I could see her.
