Polaris RZR vs Segway Villain - can a buggy be a sports car alternative? | Autocar

- The future of small sports cars is in doubt. On top of them getting more expensive, they’re also becoming harder to buy as emissions and safety regulations make them harder to produce.
So, why not buy a buggy? On the face of it, they’re everything a sports car should be - small, light, and potentially a lot of fun. Plus, there’s the added off-road ability - you wouldn’t want to take a Toyota GR86 down a rocky track, but with these buggies the world is your oyster.
We’ve brought together two of our favourites - the Polaris RZR and the Segway Villain - to see if they’re a viable alternative to the modern sports car.

Seal the cabin and you have the perfect car for the narrow British roads with all the potholes
Top speed is about right also
Reply: "I agree, sealing the cabin would definitely make the Polaris RZR a great option for narrow British roads with potholes. And speaking of outdoor adventures, have you checked out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods. With its massive capacity, powerful output, and waterproof technology, it's perfect for camping trips or as a home backup power solution. Definitely worth considering for outdoor enthusiasts like us!"
Great video, but please normalize your audio levels. I was having to crank up the volume during the b-roll voice overs, only to get my eardrums blasted when it switched over to the in-car audio.
The Polaris look's like birdcase and the Segway Villan looks like a Cadilac!
After a few mins the engines sound like a leaf blower. Awful drone to these things.
UK have access to the big dogs
I mean the big utv? Like those Polaris turbo or the can am x3 with 200hp?
2 of the best? They are 2 of the cheapest entry level sxs... The actual best ones have twice the power.
I got rid of my Maverick Can Am Turbo, because after 30 minutes your head explodes from a constant +100 dB drone that hammers you right in your ears. A few hours outing is torture. Every other nuisance is bearable, but their noise is honestly a deal breaker. Looking forward to buy an electric one someday.
Yup, drive an electric one at the beach and see what happens when you get salt water on the battery... Nice idea thou.
Buy a honda, you can shift gear without having the engine alway reving 7000 rpm
I think the Segway come with a electric one later in 2024 with 225 HP so we se haha!
@@lapamful Wel the batteries is sealed so no problem drive in water with those as a fossile one!

Based on the video title "Segway", it seems like the CZcamsr may be showcasing a new Segway product. If it's related to outdoor gear or home backup power products, it could be the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. This power station offers a massive capacity, powerful output, and fast recharging capabilities. Plus, it's built tough with a waterproof design. It might be worth checking out for your outdoor adventures or as a backup power solution for quality family time.
Even stock, these things are all pretty loud and disturb the peace of my small town. Otherwise they're great.
Where is the Honda talon?
How about an Ariel Nomad?
50k things those are this is much less than half of that.
I have the yamaha yxz 1000r se ss i tel jou this is the best machine in de branche the gearbox make al the diff and 3 cylinder is bulletproof
Could go honda talon and have a dct gearbox
The answer to small fun car kicks is motorcycles
Electric could make them socially/aurally acceptable, and I suspect range is unlikely to be an issue. Market opportunity someone?
Depends on what social strata you talking about. If twats then yes.
@@saratov99 Walkers, horses and whoever else you are sharing the green lanes with.
It is a Ninebot,not a segway
The noise is horrible.
the soundmixing of this video is just terrible
what about recording the voice in a quiet room and adding it on in post? we dont even see the mouth moving, so it can be easily done. so we can actually hear it. get a new audio person please.
Hayabusa swap?
These aren't road cars.....
They look like rc cars
Bit of a stupid place to have those 'gas strutts', or whatever, on the Segway..Roll it n you're f%$ked...Ha !!
Terrible audio. Stopped watching.
