the boot lock is so when you give the car to a valet you can lock the boot then lock the glove box and only take the key with you only giving them the actual fob not the key. Therefore they would be unable to open your boot since they can't open the locked glove box where the switch is located. Whilst I don't read Japanese it's fascinating finding out the features that are available just by translating segments of the user manuals

Damn i want one already 😁 they have some nice features! I have seen on one video rear massaging seats option even 😅 did you know there is three buttons under the steering column area aswell? I think you can reset the tpms system and disable keyless go/start system
Do U mean under the plastics coz there isn't any under my steering column but if it's under the plastics that would make sense for that function

Mine has on the interior light area a helpnet from Japan so if incase of a crash. Above the foot pedals is a button to reset when the car notices a imbalance in tyre pressure through abs and vehicle stabilising. Weird that your open button hold only does windows, mine pulls back the sunroof as well.
For keyless start, best I’ve heard for these is a transmitter which is like an antenna on the passenger dash side which docks into ignition to give it keyless start but rare to find these days
My key is even different to yours. But love seeing other majesta interiors and all that, it is so cool
That's a couple cool extra features yeah mine did do the sunroof before maybe I didn't don't have it fully closed or something 🤣🤗

Hi Adam, just love your enthusiasm and videos for the Majesta. I wanted to now about the this car and came across your videos. I love all the big sedan stuff like E38, A8,S8, S class, LS460 etc. Keep up the brilliant videos… your nearly convincing me to snap one of these up.. can you tell me does it have electric boot open/ close?
If you haven’t done it yet could you do a video on all the options as some I’ve seen have lots of options on the rear centre console eg rear climate control, heated and reclining seats and stereo controls. Can you control the rear sunshade from the rear?

Hey mate love the content, Just got to know about the windows gonna check em. One question, running 19 or 20 inch wheels on the urs206 Majesta stock air suspension will do any harm to the suspension? thanks mate.
Na shoul be sweet I mean I run 20s all day and 19s on my supra never had suspension issues from it
Love my 2006 Crown Royale i-4 Saloon. Just at 100k km on her.
The 2001 Altezza, Corolla Luxel and many other Toyotas had the mirror demister too.

Ok honest opinion is gonna sound not honest haha I use mine as a daily and I love it it's cruisey comfy good on fuel for a v8. Insurance is good I guess depending on your age but yeah they are amazing

You think the Urs206 models are better a V8?.. Any other issues to look out for? Wanna get one as soon as I sell my Volvo V8
Maybe cause mine is a later model but you don’t need to double press the key to open windows or close them. And mine also opens/closes the sunroof too. Maybe the double press only does windows. Single does sunroof as well. I’ll have to try it now haha.

@@AdamLetter just tried and mine opens everything no matter how I do it. So maybe your sunroof needs to be recalibrated. You can do that by holding close on the slide switch for like 10seconds. Then it will move the sunroof and determine all the positions again. Make sure you keep holding the button til it’s done. If you let go you have to do it all again. By chance have you disconnected your battery cause you need to recalibrate the sunroof if you do?
@@fullmetal2439 battery was possibly disconnected when the bodywork was fixed So i shall do exactly that process thankyou legend
@@AdamLetter no worries. If you haven’t already you need to do it for the windows too. When the battery is disconnected you need to put the window up and down manually using its respective door switch before you can use the auto switch feature properly. If the lights on your driver side switch cluster are blinking then you know you need to do it.

You should just need a frequency extender they are a pretty common requirement for Japanese cars here in Australia :)

Is there some type of emergency release for the trunk from inside the interior? Locked out of the trunk and pressing the valet mode button doesn't work. The key fob, interior trunk release button on door, and key hole on trunk all don't work.
In your glove box there is a button that stops all the from working try pressing that and then opening the trunk from any or all of those options. It's called vallet mode so you can lock valuable belongings in the trunk when giving the car to a vallet
hey man this may not be all that significant but u should put "majesta" in the title because your car is a crown majesta and some of these features dont exist in the regular short wheelbase crown. it might confuse the viewer into thinking this is for the standard crown and not the majesta. just thought u should know, cheers!

20s ride I guess a lil worse depending on tyre for example my crown 20s are a harsh ride but when I but my 19s on was smoother but I lost ground clearance

I disconnected the battery and now my sunroof doesnot open automatically i have to hold the button it has reset. Any hints how to put it back to auto like for the windows we have to close the window and hold rhe button for a couple of seconds
Ok so you are gonna push the close switch and hold it ( don't let go) the roof will tilt up then click then tilt down and open all the way then click then close all the way. At that point you can let off the button and it should work automatically again I literally had the same issue up until just then and I just reset mine. This will kinda calibrate the roof and its limit switches
Hey, I have crown athlete 2005. the keyless entry stopped working when I inserted the key inside the slot/hole next to start/stop button. Any idea how to get that keyless entry back ?
That shouldn't have stopped it I place my key in that slot now and then I would say the remote battery is almost dead. Or I have noticed the fob doesn't like to unlock the car by grabbing the handle when I have the keys in the same pocket as my phone maybe coincidence you have that happening?
Under the dash there just above the gas peddle there’s two hidden buttons. One for TPS reset and one for FOB. Just hit the button once and it will give all the features back to the key. It often sometimes get kicked off by mistake when you enter, done it a few times myself.

You don't need to double press the lock/unlock. just hold it on the first press.

I had a royal salon and sold it a month ago i am getting a silver majesta with a beige interior which i like tomorrow despite the fact the fuel prices are rocketing. I just like these cars they feel so emotional 🤣. What do you think about the fuel consumption specially i will be using it as a daily.
Well I get 550kms to a tank and drive the worst route each day for fuel economy but I had a subscriber comment saying they get 750 so they must do alot of highway driving. So they are pretty good for a v8
@@AdamLetter just paid for it and will be shipped from vic to Brisbane soon, it has the standard wheels which I want to change though I don't want to sacrifice the ride, what so you suggest.

@@anasraed8875 if you don't want to sacrafice the ride don't run crazy stretched tyres and maybe run 19s max not 20s and you should be good :)
I get 400kms to tank so here in NZ is it $150 a fortnight which is the same as my old fuga350gt so Im quite happy being a heavier and bigger engined car.
I have the same car the same color Toyota Crown Athlete Grs184 model 2006 with only 152 thousand km.... The car is amazing

On my urs206 it has a remote start but the remote is different compared to the others.
So you think you the Urs206 are the better V8 ones?.. Wanting to to get one as soon as I sell my Volvo V8.. Any other issues to look out for when buying a Urs206 model?.. Thanks heaps
@@danmusicman2010 If you want reliable and less mechanical problems the earlier model with the 4.3 is probably the way to go.
The 4.6 in the URS206 certainly is a beast but does have a few issues as it gets older - checkout the valley coolant leak for an example. Also be aware of the air suspension - another costly exercise to get fix. Soft close doors another expensive idea.
Also, the wood laminate is horrible and tends to peel. Not a deal breaker - I had planned on removing all mine and getting it hydrodipped but my missus wrote it off before I had a chance.
They are pretty much an LS460. Check our the car care nut on youtube he goes into some of the problems the LS460 has and this applies to the URS206 too.

they are about tire pressure monitor and smart Key disabling button

From what I'm aware of no it's just an electrical charge from what I read
My crown came with a remote starter from the old owner.
