This video is about to blow up with everyone watching the Mighty Car Mod Lads
Oh man I hope so much aye haha
43k views ATM after 2 years let's see what happens haha. Maybe colab with MCM??? Haha
I have just purchased a 2005 crown tonight... it has the valved exhaust on it.. man the growl is satisfying
I wish I could find a shop to do it for me everyone in Vic just doesn't want to do it
@@AdamLetter i havent had a decent look underneath but what the guy tells me is that it has a 3" catback which splits into 2&1/4" pipes into sports mufflers with the valve for loud/quiet
@@thomasbrown7699 sounds like it would be sick
@@AdamLetter hey mate one year on again from your comment here, did you find a shop in vic to do the valved exhaust? do you still have your crown?
@@Agret yeah mate still got the crown and na I haven't found a shop to do that I have decided to just send it and remove the third cat and the resonator
I’m a big Holden fan and I’ve only owned them but been looking at something to upgrade from my Calais and you’ve just sold me on a majesta 😂 keep up the awesome vids
You won't be disappointed 🤗🤗
Appreciate the video and all this info!
I have this for the past 5 years here in Pakistan...and love it every day...can't even think of selling it!
Awesome video man! Been following for a while now, I've had a GRS184 and a JZS171 now I'm waiting for my URS206 to come up from Melbourne, cannot wait!
Oof got the whole fleet brother
This is an amazing very informative video, hoping to part ways with my WRX Shortly and get a crown.. just feeling a nice smooth comfortable ride, these cars are such a great kept secret and amazing value
Thankyou, yeah I agree I was shocked at their price point for such an amazing car
Litterally in the same situation, I have an 09 Sti hatch and tryna get rid of it and get a crown myself
i sold my 2016 WRX and bought a 2009 GRS204 G-package - super excited
I really would like a hybrid one, it's basically a camry, but for car enthusiasts, which is what i like
Great video, thanks man.
u have decided for me,, great vid legend
Thankyou brother 🤗🤗
thank you!!!! i am considering buying one this year
That's awsome you will love It 🤗🤗
They sure are absolutely amazing! Had mine almost 3 months and perfect car lover/ family car. Best of both worlds 😍 gf used to get car sick in my old car and hasn’t even felt that way in the majesta yet 🤘🏻 I’m looking at doing the star light roof but in debate if I keep factory grey roof lining or see if I can go black lining and plastics dyed
I was stuck in the same decision haha grey looks og black will look crisp though
Hey 2 years later how you like it? Had problems? And is it hard to find parts? Looking a a I-6 1996 one myself
Definitely getting one this year
I fcken love my UZS186 Majesta! got it only a couple of weeks ago and It's still been my favourite car I've owned. got the most attention from it out of any cars i've owned and i love every second of it.
How much fuel do these things use
@@ashtonboone3432 I got a 2011 model (4.6L V8) two weeks ago and it's thirsty when you put the boot in but I got 7.6L/100km on a freeway trip of about 800km. Shocked the crap out of me.
sick car man, was that intro shot in mernda looks too familiar
Thanks bro and yeah I used to live there
I've been getting 650-700kms on my Stock 186, Looking forward to the valved exhaust system, probably gonna go the same way
Yeah I think I would get similar and I'm hoping I can still do the valve system it seems to be a hard thing to find someone who's willing to do it
Hey bro can you do a video showing long the bags take to go up and down 🤙
Dang bro that's a long video hahaha but yes I can :) I'll do it very soon
Looking at buying a type c majesta 06 v8 model, ur video has confirmed my thorts on wanting to buy it.
You will really enjoy jt
Yeah I reckon I will too. Is the body kit on yours the F package?
@@samabikhair4911 na that bodykits a blow designs one from Japan
Man i might have to buy one now
You won't regret it 😀
I miss my crown . Definitely hunting for another
They are pretty nice aye
Hey m8, had my 184 for 4 yrs now, and still love it. I would love a lead sled but driving my crown... mine came on 19s and beautiful ride. I wanted to ask about the stereo set up but you told me everything I wanted to know. Any recommendations on those upgrade sites as nz has squat really. Love the work
Thanks for the love brother, so far I haven't found any places that do the OEM speaker setup upgrades which is what I would like but I'll keep searching and update everyone in upcoming videos 🤗
Really appreciate this video man. I've just dropped a deposit on a URS206. Can't wait to get my hands on it
You are going to love it brother
@@AdamLetter update: you were right. Shit is an absolute joy to drive. Spend more time behind the wheel of it than my 260rs stagea
@@BriFlipProductions that's awsome how good are they aye 🤗🤗
Really wish I can import a crown to the states
Closest car I can get is the 3rd generation Lexus GS which is actually a crown underneath the Lexus badge
Hey Adam, love your videos so much, Please Let me know if you are interested to get a wireless Apple CarPlay integration kits for your Majesta. I am happy to apply a discount for you buddy
I am keen actually. Want to email me or dm me on insta
Hey mate, I'm also based in aus and was wondering about the insurance cost, is it through the roof cause it's imported or is it still alright?
Hey 😊 yeah look on average I think it's cheap it cost me less that my 2009 Audi A3 TDI for a reference I mean insurance will change from person to person and age, where you live etc but for me that's a good reference that it's cheaper than a $9000 TDI hatch back
@@AdamLetter Who is yours insured with?
@@user-pe1oo1xe9u Shannon's 🤗
Great video... wanting to buy one... what model should one go for????
If your are going the 186 get the C type
@@AdamLetter top man..for getting back to me..
I can only find limited info on these cars (England)
My understanding was the two popular shapes were s180 and s200???
Where does the s186 fall into this?
And what does C type give you.....
@@reubenreid5521 falls under s180 "uzs186" and C type gives U all the goodies it's the top model
Watching from Antigua 🇦🇬 #268
Since it's a 6 cylinder can you use 4 and close the two or will u damage the car by using 4 cylinders or........
It's a v8 and na U can't do that.
Where did you get your low down kit and height controller from
I was lucky it came with the car
Do you need after market suspension parts to support the height controller or can you still use it with standard suspension?
Can literally plug and play on stock suspension
@@AdamLetter I'm guessing you're just limited to how low you can go?
@@repuniad pretty much mine has a low down kit but apart from that all stock setup
Can you recommend a supplier of coilover kits to replace the air suspension?
Personally I love HSD coilovers also BC RACING Do amazing coilovers.
What specific model crown do you have
@@AdamLetter S170 (2000 year).
Yeah there should be a few options in atleast BC racing
@@AdamLetter Yep. Just had a look at their website. I'm assuming it's cheaper to replace (say) the rear airbag system with two coil overs units unless you know of a airbag specialist in Melbourne. Thanks for your help mate.
I haven't looked into it but I could guess coilover replacement would be cheaper than bag replacement but I don't know if U can run a half coil half bag system. I know U can get second hand bags from yahoo Japan.
good day sirs how update gps to middle east location in majesta 2006 jzs 186
Unless you install a new one there is no way to do so as yet
How r u getting it so low?.
Have you driven a GRS 204? How do they Compare. Ive driven a 204 Athlete and loved it but not a Majesta.
I haven't yet no they don't excite me as not a jz or a v8 but I'll try one out one day
@@AdamLetter fair enough i think they may have a good compromise of comfort and looks plus better handling?
@@IBOO57 maybe I mean people love them
0-60? 0-100? How do you fixed the cracked dashboard?
I wouldn't try fixing the dash myself there are mobile companies that do that easy. As for the 0-60/0-100 I'll get onto that
What about parts if car faces some problems like mechanic problems engine problems suspention problems, the parts must be cheap too
Yeah brother I cover that at around the 6:32 mark 🤗
In Australia at least alot of parts are prices like it's just a normal every day car not a luxury import
@@AdamLetter thanks alot, waiting to goto us from afghanistan and i will buy one
@@farzadsahibzada5765 you will love it they are suuuuch a nice car
@@AdamLetter yeah the big deal is how to get out of afghanistan, this would be easy, just nees to get out of my country
im getting one on sunday and have questions about the strut doing a bit hunting and came across here any one know about toyota crown majesta 2006 rear strut help me out
What do you want to know about the rear struts
are those crowns suited for lpg conversion?
Personally I wouldn't wanna do it having run cars on lpg before but I can't see why they wouldn't technically work with it
what kind of unit is this fuel consumption? 750k's per tank? 500k's per tank? well I get 650K's per tank in my cadillac northstar.. so is the crown worse or what? :) why not MPG or l/100km? does the display in japanese cars say 500K's per tank?
500kms per tank but have hear of people getting 750kms per tank and I used those figures coz I feel it's more relateable. More kinda real life instead of giving you a specific mpg while I'm cruising on a freeway which is inaccurate where as saying how many KMs I get per tank covers a whole tanks worth of driving variables. If you want L/100 it's a 65 liter tank 🤗 like you said your Cadillac gets 650kms per tank so these figures would be quite relatable for yourself 🤗
@@AdamLetter yes there is the missing link :) a 65 liter tank, so it's about 13l/100km or 18 mpg, thats pretty good.
@@rokkokeep1020 generally anywhere from 8.6L/100km (750 per tank) to 11.8L/100km (550 per tank)
@@AdamLetter everything below 14L/100km is ok for me :) so I can say it's better than my seville. I really love the cadillac, but I'm always afraid of the headgasket problem, it's probably better to have a second car that's a bit more reliable. Thank You for the answers!
@@rokkokeep1020 you will love a crown 🤗
Just watched this to learn a luxury car has quiet exhausts.
If that's what you want yours to have 🤗
Bro, you have a browns jersey on? How did that thing make it overseas 🤣
Hahahahahaha
That was the season they did really good with obj
You said something about 'parts' are engine and suspension parts included in what you said or are those parts regular toyota parts?
Yup included
@@AdamLetter is this also the same for the Athlete 2.5 v6/3.0 v6 and the 3.5 v6?
@@palmtreesgaming7852 I would say some have a cross over to locally delivered models but not owning one I would be just making an educated guess as I also haven't researched as deeply into them like I have the uzs186 🤗
@@AdamLetter im thinking of buying an Athlete Grs182 but i think it will be hard to find parts if one breaks
@@palmtreesgaming7852 best advice I can give is start searching for part numbers generally with Toyota's you can find a data site that will list every part then search the part number on amayama.com and on that site it actually lists other models that stock the same parts also find the engine and see what is delivered locally with that engine then you know U can get parts from Toyota direct and wreckers
Do the air bags fail frequently?
Mine haven't yet haha touch wood
@@AdamLetter thanks mate, enjoying your videos. Thinking about getting into an athlete for a daily
@@biffon69 would be a mean daily 🤗
Is km per tank a valid measure of fuel economy?
I would say so as it's an average consumption of fuel per tank. Yes depending on terrain and traffic but that would be a variable to any other valid measure of fuel consumption 🤗
@@AdamLetter I should have said between different cars. Unless they both have the same size tank?
smiles per dail is better measurement, fuck economy when it's empty fill it who cares as long as you have big grin on your face
are you talking about 2000s Crown Athlete
Crown majestas like in the thumbnail
where are you finding mods for the crown? based in aus
Literally just the internet. Many hours of googling and research
@@AdamLetter any websites or links you have to good sellers? having a hard time finding some
@@edisonpang_ the generic croober, yahoo Japan, AliExpress, eBay but then you have the ones you gotta look deeper for like blow designs do 1 or 2 bodykits and it's kinda like that with a company do 1 or 2 things for the model. Otherwise you will go to websites that essentially drop ship and charge you 8x what you would pay elsewhere just because they are advertising alot of parts in one place
@@AdamLetter preciate it bro❤️
Anyone have any luck with a way to swap these to Apple car play?
There's one company doing it but it's like 1000$
@@AdamLetter yeah just found it. Hey bud I have a serious question. I’ve owned this car for 2 days. We love it, but when we turn the car off the seats automatically slides fully back, I assume to help you exit the car, the problem is it crushes our car seat and will seriously harm my child as it squished their legs! We have to remove my son fully before we can turn the car off..it’s pretty annoying. I know we can manually interrupt the process by physically sliding the slider forward while it tries to go back. I’m curious if there are any settings in the Japanese menus that were missing.
@JonAlycia oh yeahbi can see how that would be an issue. I would say there is a way some how as my death doesn't do it but my steering wheel still folds back I'm aorrybi don't know where specifically though
How low can you go on rim sizes in these? If I could get away with 14" and whitewall tyres I'd definitely do it. 😂😂 Ok mabe 16"
Doable would just need massive tyres
@@AdamLetter you reckon it'll mess with the handling much?
@mentor7796 it will feel even more boaty mine feels fairly tight on the smaller tyres. But let's not fool ourselves these aren't sports cars they aren't made to handle like a porsche
@@AdamLetter that's what I want. A boat like handling. Something that pretty much "floats" over the annoying Melbourne road bumps. Thanks heaps mate.
Absolutely great video man, I test drove a 1jz crown and it was great, but then I test drove the v8 crown and it blew my socks off.
What would you chose if you were in my position?
I don't know your situation but I love a jz but for me I already have one in the supra and I feel like they are more suited to a car that will be able to be driven more sporty so for me it was a no brainer to go the V8 and also the 186 is my favourite crown
Adam letter
Yes? 😅
Crown majesta**
🤣
K's to the tank means nothing mate! How many litres per 100 km?
Actually it means how many kms range U will get every time U fill up 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but for U it's 13l/100kms 😘
@@AdamLetter Ah yeah I guess so. Anyway, 13's pretty good for an 8.
@@nizzkid2 surprisingly good aye but tbh we ain't out here buying v8s for fuel economy 🤣
@@nizzkid2 I have the 4.6L V8 in my 2011 Majesta and got 7.6L/100km on an 800km trip in country NSW.
Fuel consumption should be mentioned in l/100km not km per tank cos tank size differs from car to car. At least mention the tank size of both cars
Fuel consumption*CAN be mentioned in l/100km it can also be referred to as KMs per tank I prefer KMs per tank as it's more relateable on a day to day kinda thing I'm not Wikipedia I'm just a guy making videos 😉
@@AdamLetter your assumption is wrong … if you are mentioning per tank then it’s useless to compare against another car (since cars have different fuel tank capacity unless you mention two models with the same capacity). Correct method is to use l/100km or km/l ..etc … finally your km/tank is misinformation and a method some people use to hide the true economy….
@@chris0628 hahahaha ok mate well on your CZcams video on the crowns you can talk about l/100kms hahaha there are 71 litres feel free to do the math seeing as you feel the need to take this time out of your day to complain so much 😂 thanks for the comments though the algorithm loves all comments so feel free to comment back about how much this is effecting your day hahahaha
@@AdamLetter see that wasn’t so difficult…. You learnt something new….That you do have the ability to listen and learn 👍🏽
@@chris0628 tell me more oh wise one
how to buy one mate.
I would recommend importers direct 👌
@@AdamLetterany recommendations on a good import traders.
@cisa1622 I got mine from jdmhq I was very happy
Who the fuck talks about fuel economy in "k's per tank" !! Haha. That's fucken useless. Use litres per hundred, it's universally adaptable.
Also a cost range for a mod of $300 and a "don't quite me", is so daft. Why bother mentioning it?
hahahaha there is some passion in that comment. ok so i say kms per tank coz its more kinda relatable and there is 65 liters per tank and have done the calculations in other comments if you wanna have a mosey on down there. I say per tank coz then someone in general terms will know how far they can travel after a full fill up so not really useless at all but i can see you like generic terms so thats understandable. oh and i say "around $300" because this is the internet and if you dare say something slightly different to what someone wants to hear specifically they jump on and let out their anger towards life in you comment section if you said it was $287 and it turns out to be $295. which you kinda supported that theory by being so passionate over me saying "kms per tanks" and "$300 dont quote me" soooo yeah thats why i say those things :)
@@AdamLetter wow.

I live in Vicoria and have been looking around for my 2010 Athlete Modellista with the factory supercharger and have been having trouble with an agreed value estimate as its the Modellista version many only go up to a market value of 18k when I need 30k for mine.
