Squeezing Blood From A Stone : How To Turn A Basic HP Desktop Into A Gaming PC Against It's Will

I overhauled my friend's girlfriend's PC so they could game together.
It had a decent foundation. An NVME boot drive and a 12th gen I5, but it needed a GPU if it was ever gonna play Hogwarts Legacy.
I added an rx480 8 gb , a 2tb SATA SSD for games, took it up to 24 GB of ram and added a cooling fan.
Currently this PC has been running solid for about 6 months as configured and is still gaming like a champ
