I have ordered Singapore Fried Rice many times, but none of the dishes I have tried taste like what you put together whatsoever! I am so happy to find this recipe on your chanbel, and to learn that, once again, its more than one culture's influence!
As a meat lover, although there is no protein in this I can ald imagine the taste and smell is going to b great. Unlike egg fried rice, this is not just hassle free but creates a multi layer flavor fried rice. Bcos egg fried rice although sounds simple, but it needs a wok to create the wok flavor ( wok hei ). But this dish compensate tat with spices flavor. Even the capsicum and peas r cut to small size to go well with the rice texture. This will go well with any curry or stew alike food. I don't usually use Basmati rice for frying because it is soooo expensive 😅 this is an interesting version though! Maybe we can add Malay tempeh for extra protein.. it tastes great in curries!
As a Singaporean, I have to mention that this is not Singapore Fried Rice. Masala powders are never added to our fried rice. Only chilli paste is added if it’s the spicy version. Different vegetables, meat or even anchovies can be added but no masala powders.
This is an Indian version of Singapore fried rice. It happens in a lot of countries, people take an oriental dish and turn it into something local. This is not the authentic Singapore fried rice, but is known as one in India.

It's long grain basmati rice. You can use any brands like dawat, kohinoor etc. You will also find some amazing local brands if you can try.
