I missed a good part of the live stream, so I'm glad you put this together. Personally, I am blown away by Resolve v17. The changes in the workflow, the live preview of transitions, effects, font type, etc., as well as moving noise reduction and keying into the cut and edit pages is phenomenal. Thanks for pointing out things I missed from the stream.

Your videos are perfect! Thumbnails too. Informative text. Crossedarms WITH A SMILE exhaults confidence, which is underlined by the content of the video. It's cut to the chase. Perfect length, and quick paced.
Keep up the format, and maybe (you prly have this allready) have more longform secondary vids about a certain topic, but as long as davinci is just out with a new version, these short introductions that also impressingly work as tutorials are perfect.
TL;DR filmmaker for equipment, (and Crash Laobi for flight simming tutorials) and you for davinci. Perfect:))

Frankly, I am still a novice to the program which can be daunting and overwhelming to learn but I love what I see thus far. Do you have any suggestion for someone like myself who wants to just get in, and produce simple personal experience videos (clips out of the camera) to make into a presentable video with nice intro, ending, bgm transitions and text? Very nice, thank you. Could also make a video for the REsolve FX, I'm more interested in Resolve FX Texture Pop and Resolve FX Detail Recovery. I find that most cameras today don't have enough texture on them as hollywood blockbusters do, and just adding grain doesn't do the trick. So I wonder if these new fx add this ability.

    Hi Darren,
I was absolutely sure that you are envolved at least in testing the new version 17 of DaVinci Resolve, and this at an early stage as I can see on your timestamps.
Breathtaking new features I‘ll have to digest. Using the free version since a while I was considering buying the Studio version just for fairness vis-à-vis Blackmagicdesign when they came out with v17 bundled with a free Speed Editor. No reason any more to not upgrade as soon as it will be available in Germoney.
Will watch your videos tomorrow as the almost 2 hours of live presentation were already long.
Thanks again, as usual, for your work and your very helpful killer tips.

@@DarrenMostyn Thanks, I knew that way… I was hoping that we could just do it from the edit page.
      Oh well.
I’ve watched a dozen Resolve tutorials… Most of them are terrible, they are all terrible compared to you. Yours are great. Don’t stop now. I love all the little things that you’re showing us how to do.
Love you to show us how to manually key frame on the color page. Even when I do auto tracking for a mask… Then I go look for the key frames and I can’t find them.

New subscriber. Thanks for your no nonsense presentation, I’m glad I found your channel. There is one feature I’d love to see, which I had with Sony Vegas, and that was a button to simply remove any unused footage from the programme. Is there, by any chance such a feature with Davinci 17? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was wondering if you please show how to short a clip in time line with keyboard shortcut command. Just like Q n W in Premiere software. Thanks for helping us to grow with Da vinci.

The value of Render in Place can't be overstated. (I'm assuming it works on Fusion comps) -been waiting years for this!

Thanks for the great video Darren. You have another follower :) I have the 16 Studio version. Where can I download the 17 studio? The website only shows me the option to "find reseller" for the studio version. Thanks
