Great demo, I’d like to use the keyed switch to just turn off the throttle (not the PA function) is that possible to change the switch wires in the keyed throttle? My existing throttle has 3 cables only. I don’t need to see voltage display. Thanks Ross

Thank you so much for making this video. I bought both 4-wire and 5-wire throttles.
When I connected the 4-wire Throttle, my bike went well.
The problems started when I tried to connect the 5-wire Throttle because I didn't know where to tie the blue wire.
I suspected that the blue wire should be tied to the thin red wire (which goes to the battery).
My bike is at 36 V.
When I connected the blue wire to the thin red wire, the voltage dropped from 41 V to 24 V and the motor stopped running.
I would have been delighted if you could film where the blue thread is tied.
The clip has no subtitles and I don't know English very well.

You can also cut open the display cable cut the red cable and connect the yellow and blue cable to the two ends of the red cable.

@@EVCustoms I have a great question for you, I am interested in a twist throttle that starts you off slow, because I notice that all the cheap $15 twist throttles that I a have used, knock you off the saddle as soon as you barley turn it to its minimal activation point, I am looking for a throttle that starts off very slow and gradually starts accelerating to full speed. Do you have to hook up your hall sensor wire mine does not have one but it has the speed control wires and it says the throttle only for pas systems is the hall Central wire the one that also connects to the motor does anyone know and I have a regular throttle no key that's why I'm asking
Yes under the rubber covering There is a button looks like the one they would use on some of the other ones i've seen and have a light button but there's Marking or button on the outside. I would send you a picture but apparently I don't know how or the website will let me

I have a Phantomgogo R1 36v scooter. When I tested the 5v red wire coming out of the controller I found that the 5 volt Red Wire is pushing 17.44 volts. I am afraid of connectiing the.controller to the throttle because I do not want to damage the throttle. Is this high voltage normal or is it a defect? Will it destroy my throttle?

Can you help me with a 6 wire controller connection to a 3 wire thumb throttle. Very simple, no voltage meter, no key lock but connecting the standard red, green , black does not produce power to throttle. Is there soemting I need to do with the otehr 3 wires...white, brown and yellow. I thought it shoudl ahev worked with just the 3 but apaprently such is not the case.

I have a motoberry controller - throttle stop working - I bought new throttle but still nothing happens when I twist throttle. When I measure red voltage wire and signal wire coming from controller I only get 2.7volts - could this be my problem? Seems like low voltage

Hello EV-Customs, can you tell me if I can bridge this input and output wires (connect them) from 3:12 to use e-scooter without the lock. I can't turn my key all the way up and can't find this voltmeter + ignition lock anywhere because they are out of stock in my country. This would be temporary solution for me since I am delivery driver so I need to be able to use the scooter as soon as possible and your help would save me right now.

You cannot connect PAS sensor on throttle.. PAS sensors working with pulses, throttle have analog output

The wires from the step sensor enter the controller. (It's a magnetic sensor).
Each time the pedal it's turns, it releases motor voltage for 3 seconds, then shuts off!
It has nothing to do with throttle acceleration.

The color of the wires on a THUMB THROTTLE (with on/off and LCD voltage display) ARE : BLACK ,GREEN ,RED, (in connector) and YELLOW, BLUE (separate) the controller wire options include BROWN, WHITE, GREEN, RED, YELLOW, BLACK.
What is the signal on the green wire. Is it a PWM signal. Or simply variable resistance bn plus or minus? Oh. You say. 0 to 5v analog signal.
You can work it with PWM signal and analog signal also..

Can you please assist? Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the twist throttle? The throttle feels very twitchy and very hard to get the bike rolling smoothly.
Hi... the easiest way is to add a resistor on the positive poke of your throttle... i suggest you variable one..
@@EVCustoms Thanks for the prompt reply. The current throttle is a variable unit. Even on speed 1 (3 speeds), the bike throttle is very difficult to modulate. Would adding a resistor to the signal wire help?

My scooter has 5 yellow and white instead of the blue that comes on new handle :(
What if I have 6 wires?? Both my controller and throttle have 6 wires. I connected all wires and only the light indicator and on/off button work however the motor gets no response.
Throttle has:
Red/white/blck/green/ brwn/yllow
Controller:
Red/white/black/green/blue/yellow
Also my controller does not have the 3rd switch wire. I do not want to give up. How can I resolve this issue?
Same here, my battery has a key on it that switches on the power so the controller does not have a wire for that purpose. Have you figured it out?
@@jstar1000 unfortunately not, however I found another throttle that has 5 wire so I was able to plug and play to the stock controller. I couldn’t figure out the 6 wire.
Actually mine is a 5 wires but I still have the same results above. Mine has the three throttle wires and a yellow and blue wire but no matter what I do I can't get the throttle to actually work. My original throttle has a button that sets the system to either throttle only or PAS only so that is the problem I think and I can't find another one like it for sale. Button in and its throttle only, button out and its PAS only.

Don't use thumb throttle , if they stick you can die ! Also with bike upside down to work on it , you can get sand in throttle to cause the condition !☠️

This is so frustrating. Throttles are illegal in the UK on public roads above 3mph. They would be such a great benefit to the elderly and disabled.

Ok so my throttle broke and i got a replacement but the problem is that the original throttle had 6 wires and the new one only has 5 i messed around with the wires and got the throttle to power on but it just wont move the bike. How can i fix this.

@@EVCustoms ok so all colors are connected with its same color except for white. I connected the white to the brown wire. The white and the yellow are the only 2 thicker wires. The rest are thinner. I connected the yellow to black and it fried the wire a bit lol. But still works

I've been experiencing extremely dangerous episodes of the motor not stopping as soon as I turn the throttle , related to high humidity conditions ! I think it's because the humidity increases conductivity of the hall sensors in the throttle . can you recommend a good throttle ? I think the manufacturers are going to have to make them water proof. I experienced the same issue with a different throttle , battery and controller. just using the bike after a rain storm is enough to cause the issue. We must have a throttle will a switch to cut power ! ☠️ Also stop using hot glue on the Hall sensors ! It melts were I live ! And make the throttle not Fall apart so easy , and they need to be made with softer grips or made to accept normal grip's.☠️
