I didn't know paper stunts could be amazing until I watched this video, and now my life is changed! Thank you Quirkology, and god bless the UK.
I'm a fan of the "pass your body through a sheet of paper" trick. One fold and several scissor snips later, and the sheet becomes an accordion-like giant loop.
I've got to try the dollar bill illusion, although it might lead to people using it to stiff servers of a generous tip. "How nice, he gave me two dol- hey, what the hell? Cheapass!"

+ivabra Yes. You're starting with all the surface covered so you obviously can't rotate the pieces and get something with less surface. When you rotate the pieces you make the square somewhat bigger and all the surface of the void in the middle is spread all around. You can actually see in his demonstration that the new square doesn't fit exactly. It is larger by something like 2 millimeters on each side. Print it you will see by yourself (pdf in the description).

+Mishaal Fatima Nope. Benrob55 is right. It's an optical illusion to make you think that it was the same size. Note the area of the small box created inside the box and the overlapping part on the right and bottom sides are always the same if the box lines didn't change.
The shapes don't actually fit in the square. there is a bit of overlap, and that overlap, believe it or not, is the entire area of the square.
And defacing government property?! I know you are British, but consider yourself arrested.
