My grandfather built a house with perlite blocks in 1946, in Glendale Arizona. It was tested by engineers from ASU and UofA for many, many years. The blocks would float. He bet the universities he could do it if they would supply the materials. His Scout Troop did the labor, and my grandparents got a free house. It was the most insulated building I've ever been in.
Where was your house?
Smart Man! Knowledge is power 👍 👍
Great!!!!! Thank You!!
I have an idea, I am to old to start a new venture, but someone out there may want to pursue this idea. I would like to build aircrete logs. Based on the toys we all played with when we were kids, Lincoln logs. These could be pre-manufactured so really almost anyone could buy the logs and construct a building. There would need to be different lengths made say like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 feet etc. There would need to be some that had special ends with channels for doors and windows. There could be some that are pre wired with wall outlet boxes and switches. Logs could be pre-colored or surfaced in some cases. A building could be constructed permanently by bonding the logs together, or could be temporary and disassembled and moved. I think this could be an amazing new business that could revolutionize small buildings. And it would allow for any person to DIY.
you're only as old as you feel. If you want to start a new project, then you should. I think it's a great idea
Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you .
Very nice and informative im needing of doing airkreke for insulation on walls what woud be the ratio i need so i doesnt crumbled. Thanks
So I actually work in concrete, I know for structural use it has be be between 3-5% air content if it would be exposed to freezing temperatures.
Will you be making videos on how to make a house with this material? Start to finish?
Good vid! How much Portland cement to a three pound five gallon bucket?
A question about the 2.1# density foam. Would that be okay to use for making aircrete that is going to be used as insulation between wall studs? And, have you made aircrete that was used in walls as an insulator and if you did, could you tell me the mix and pressures you used? Thanks
How about adding an egg to your foam machine? It will make it more fluffy
I am wondering what happens if you were to mix the slurry use latex concrete bonding agent and foaming agent, a small submersible pump in conjunction with air into your foaming chamber thense into the forms directly this would give you complete mix and foaming agent with least disturbance.
Tysm bro 😎
You are very welcome - check out the newest videos.
What do you mix the cement with. I saw the other guy add baking Skoda and something else.
Very interesting 🤔
does this stuff dry fast? what is it used for??? i am building hollow statues and i am looking to fill them... concrete is a bit to heavy... all i need it for is strength and maybe a 1/2 pound or less for my 12'' statue... i wonder if i could rig up a mini foamer... that bucket full is a 2 month supply for me... thanks...seems like a cool product
I have noticed that you use Suave hair shampoo in other videos. Do you prefer Dawn dish soap or Suave? And what ratio do you use Suave to water? Thanks!
Hey Harry have you heard of Elephant toothpaste? It is a super fast expanding foam.
That is a nice looking foam man ..have you ever figured out cost to make a 5 gallon bucket full of foam? not including tools just soap cost? also whats the cheapest smallest size foam generator you make? and what soap is best performance vs cost? thanks.. i was lucky to pick up a 11 oz can of shaving creme for $1 but that only makes approx 1.5 gallons of foam... i made a test mixed up a little over 2 lbs ...i think if i did not add foam i would have needed around 4 pound to fill unit i built... so i am on the right track..stuff smells great also..thanks
good day...nice one sir...
It seems that a PSI gauge on the air input side would pinpoint the exact setting you need for the right foam consistency. Just determine what PSI achieves your 3 lb weight, and set it at that PSI everytime? Regardless, thank you for all your very helpful videos Harry.
That tap regulates flow, not pressure.
Maybe later on you’ll tell us what pressure we need?
That looks fun
Do you have a manual for sale for the concrete recipe ?
Perfect timing Harry my wife and I are going to make some aircrete today and I forgot the formula
Happy I can help next video uploading now few more minutes.
I have discovered the secret ingredient in the foam agent that costs a fortune. It's just pine sap, dilluted with petrol products. A very similar surficant is used in hairspray!
It's shaving cream consistency. I thought slush or the frosted drinks from dispensers the ideal foam.
Would this work to make a large concrete planter? How much weight does this remove compared to normal concrete?
what kind of foaming agent did you used?
Harry ; Almost all commentators are asking for product info and amounts of each product . A video is not complete unless all info is given at the time of each step or process . Good video , just need all info . Thanks----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ernest E. Johnson
Hi
Sir pumping air crete changes its properties like density insulation etc?
do you sell the kit ready to use? ship to brazil? how much? I wanto to know how is the proportion of bobles to ciment, ciment to water, and soup to water, help me? :D
If you google "pound per gallon to grams per liter" you can find out that it is 72 grams per liter (a liter of Water has a 1000 grams).
How much foam to cement ratio?
Because it's dish soap your using, does it keep the ants away?
HI,
I WANT TO CREATE INSULATIVE AIRCRETE ONLY. (NON STRUCTURAL) I WANT TO PUMP IT FROM THE TOP OF THE ROOF ONTO THE RAFTERS. I HAVE NO DECKING.
I WANT TO DO THE WHOLE ROOF.
HOW CAN I MIX A LOT OF IT AT ONCE?
WHAT TYPE OF PUMP WOULD YOU GUYS USE?
WOULD YOU GUYS USE TWO OR THREE MIXERS AT ONCE AND WOULD YOU USE A SOLID WASTE SEWAGE PUMP?
Is that crazy?
Thank you
Hi harry! how are you. Quick question in an other video you mentioned that the perfect foam should weight in between 3.15 to 3.5 oz per liter. However in this video the bucket of 5 galones weight 3 pounds therefore per liter is about 2.11oz per liter. Do you recomend that for general stuff? or how much should the foam weight for general stuff? Thanks!!
The bucket is zero-ed out before weighing.
Interesting
what chemicals are in the foam?
Foam Is satisfying
Do u think a boat can be built
Hi Harry =)
please tell me how many litres per gallon does it mean? (there are different types of "gallon" standards over the world so that i do not know which one you talk about)
4 liters per gallon.
@@AircreteHarry - 4 Litres? Or, 3.78 Litres, per usual US Gallon, like it says on a Milk Jug "Gallon?"
Pine sap is secret ingredient in foaming agent
aircrete is life
Why would you choose 3 lbs verses 2 lbs?
A better way to accomplish this is to shred styrofoam (EPS) and mix with the cement. A product called Perfectblock is this type of material.
so whenever you cut your lawn, if you save the grass clippings, could you mix them with the aircrete to improve it? Just wondering, since you like experimenting. I can't at the moment so I thought I'd ask you.
HI!! I wento to the amazon link but I don´t see the foam generator. Do you have another link? TIA
Hi Patricio, You can go to this link for the foam generator: www.AircreteHarry.com
Are you out of the foam generators I couldn't find it.

Hi Harry, I must be going blind or deaf, but after you chopped up all the polystyrene, it was never mentioned again?? I suspect it is part of the cement mix but no details provided, Please advise
Welcome to the channel Richard 👍
What video are you referring to, cause it's certainly not this one?
Tried looking for the foam generator at Amazon without success, can you send me a link for this
It is not on Amazon, but on an etsy website, I believe this website is unreliable, Harry should please pace it on Amazon
Part one and I’m already confused what the foam is and how it’s created , and what that machine actually does???
The foam is produced to create Aircrete.
The title mentions that as well.
Are you familiar with Aircrete at all or are you new to it?
Have in mind this is one of my older videos.
The machine I use & offer is a Foam Generator. You may find it here:

What is your ratio of dish soap to water for aircrete foam?
Did I miss a video, this question seems like the best starting point. I cannot start without this information
What volume of aircrete do we expect at these proportions......?
I have a theory I don't have time to test which is to use some quick lime to accelerate setup time before bubbles collapse and make stronger
Fastforward to today - 5 years since this video was made; after spending Time & doing numerous tests, I recommend these additives for strength & much better results. Also, it will allow you to pour taller.

@@walkingwater893 Drexel for Best Results: 4oz to 5-gallons of water.
would shaving cream work on a small amount
Yes shaving cream would work.
I have see comments saying that you should adjust airflow based on pressure and I firmly disagree. If you want to control airflow, then control airflow. A 1/4 turn valve wouldn't be my first choice of valves because it's very nonlinear. But, instead of worry about the valve, make your adjustments, based on actual airflow.
Below is a link to a rotameter, which is an inline device that allows the operator to adjust whatever valve you're using to a known airflow, in cubic feet per min. I'm not saying this is the exact rotameter you should be using, you want one that has a slightly higher volume than the max volume you run in any process. There are also surely cheaper units available.

What is that foam made of? What materials? Thanks
Drexel Foam Maker 160. Is what I use to make the foam.
The machine must just make it. He hasn’t made this video for people who’ve never heard of this. Part one and we don’t even have the ingredients how to make it or how the machine works. Such a weird part 1.
@@waffle_chair9269 If you are new to Aircrete, you are welcome to ask questions. We left a reply to your other comment as well.
Aircrete is lightweight & a great insulator. This is an older video.

Q: Aircreteharry@gmail.com
How do you get 3 pounds of foam without 3 pounds of soap? Liquid soap is clearly more dense than foam. A gallon of milk weighs 8 pounds, so it took roughly 1\3 gallon of soap to make a bucket of foam?
The foam solution which is 4 oz mixed in a 5 gallon bucket of water when air is added creates your foam which in a 5 gallon bucket should equal 3 pounds.
@@AircreteHarry so you pumped a full 5 gallons of water in there? I'm just curious, not trying to be an ass.
@@mrsir2378 a 5 gallon bucket of water weighs 40 lb. In a 5 gallon bucket of water you're adding 4 oz of foaming agent . The weight from 3 pounds of foam in a 5 gallon bucket is made up of the water.
Lets say i wanted to make a 1/2 gallon of aircrete to fill a vase? how much port land cement is needed? and could i just buy a can of shaving cream to mix it in the cement mix??? and what is the ratios? lets just say i want to make a cup of aircrete... can you tell me how much cement, water and foam is needed of each... i am good at math...just need ratios as close as possible... i can experiment and get it right... thanks
To make 50 gallons of Aircrete I add one 94 lb bag of cement to 6 gallons of water and mix. That give me 7 gallons of cement slurry then I add 43 gallons of foam and mix. You have all your numbers all you have to do now is divide.
Yes you can use shaving cream. Making your own foam maker with a mixing paddle bit with some stainless steel sponge tied to it, on a drill. Will be a much better way for small experiments than buying shaving cream cans. So when your ready to make larger vase or whatever you can make more foam this way. That is until your ready to buy my Aircrete Harry foam generator. You can look at my other videos for a good foaming agent I have two or three videos on the subject.
@@AircreteHarry Thanks.... i watched a video where the guy made small batches... last batch he added 3x the volume foam to the amount of volume of water he had added to cement to make slurry... it was very cool... the aircrete took up 3x the volume as just plain cement and it floated!!!... Do guys even go as far as adding 4x foam? 5x? it would be even lighter so after cured it would be 1/4,1/5th the weight as plain cement mix... i really don't need crazy strength so for me the lighter the better... i have a lot to learn i just found out about this air crete 3 days ago and i think its amazing ...thanks for your help..
Please formula off the simply foame agent...
can i mix glass fibre into the aircrete for strenght?
Yes you can.
Use Basalt fibers.
5 gallons of water is 40 pounds so 3pounds of foam to 5 gallons is extra foamy.
What are you using for the foam?
I'm using 4 oz. Drixel foaming agent in a 5 gallon bucket of water.
Cec Farns
I don’t know anything about this stuff but saw another video where a guy simply added styrofoam to his ordinary concrete mix and it seemed to work great.
Why does your machine have a motor? What's the purpose?Seems like the air pressure would be sufficient. Please explain.
Hi Bill having the motor opposed to using air pressure allows me to have the largest container with foam solution for a continuous non-stop foaming. For the projects I work on require a lot of foam. If you look at my foundation for a dome video I use a 32 gallon container for my foaming solution right now you can't do that with the air pressure one and that would just slow me down personally. air pressure units out there have a limited capacity and you're dealing with a tank under pressure if there is any type of blockages in the system boom.
Thanx for replying. So the motor stirs the solution into foam?
It pumps the foam solution from the holding container into the unit were it mixes with air and then to the foaming wand.
I like to duild the house this aircrete material what about doin me how to make form in machine thank's lowtof
Is it possible to creat nice enough foam for aircrete using a bucket and a drill??? I dont have the money to buy and air compresor :c
Sorry, I missed the part about how much 'soap to water ratio'.
If it's Drexel - 4oz to 5-gallons of water.
For any dish soaps - 20-30oz per 5-gallons of water.
I can't hear you.
so why not a boat with chicken wire in it..
How to sky. Air. creat
Gxj
😁😂😂😂😂😂😃😈😈😇😇😇😁
My grandpa was a boat builder and I could form that but would it float???
yes would float but not sure it s enough strong
There is an Italian company that makes cement boats. This Aircrete is brittle not good for a boat.
@@AircreteHarry yes concrete steel reinforced yes, but aircrete I doubt also
I think a hull needs a builder
Gotta be a better less complicated way
me:i want to know how to make that air crete thing, i hope some guy have a vid that explain it well
Aircrete Harry: hey dude! look my whole channel dedicated to it
me: THIS FEEL LIKE WINNING!
Amazon link a waste of time I wanted to see air crete supplies not everything you bought from amazon.
You take too long to show how. Poor method and quality of a video. I'll look elsewhere for instructions
