    This is brilliant. I had thought of this myself but thought I would make a silicone mold. That might have been prohibitively expensive. I had not thought to do it the old "mud brick" style. All I can add is for the person doing this to have some smaller projects (like the garden bricks) to pour for any waste material that is not used in the panels.

    Regarding the aircrete as structural components vs insulating, you could build basically a pole barn and fill in the gaps with aircrete panels. The aircrete would be providing some bonus degree of support, but the integrity of the building wouldn't actually be dependent on the aircrete.

      Don't forget the pressure eco-terrorists are putting on the tree industry (among other things). Like it or not, the demand for "green" materials is a reality. It doesn't matter if you agree with the politics, or financial analysis. The trend is towards higher demand for products like this. Tesla Solar is selling out of Home Depot! Total market manipulation driven by an agenda. Today, if you build a new house in California, it MUST have a PV system, NO net metering. Your home will be little profit centers for the State by 2030 because by then, the lunatics will make it law that you tear down that 40 year old hovel and rebuild it "green". That's a few years after they issue FINES for your "carbon footprint", and forcing the entire population on AI/EV's. You vote Democrat, that's what you get. I wouldn't be surprised if some huge corporation isn't developing a product like this right now. Instead of metal studding, they are using polymer castings built with industrial 5D laser printers. Get a patent bro. And stop posting vids online until you have PROOF of concept. Until then, this is all bullshit. Just being straight with you man.

      Aircrete is made of Portland cement and perlite mix (possibly sand?) then a construction foam sometimes used for insulation is folded in like a meringue and then cast into shape. One surface is covered by Tyvec and a reinforcement screen using metal wall studs to form a mold.

    I work with concrete professionally, but I haven't explored aircrete yet. First, have you tested the compressive strength of your mix design- can you provide the results?
    Have you looked into superplasticizer, fiber, polymer, pozzolans? These ingredients might significantly add to the strength of your concrete. Why is the sleeve over the paddle of your mixer? Have you tried mixing aluminum flake (which is what the autoclaved aerated concrete people use to make bubbles)? AAC is probably going to be stronger than what we can make in a home environment, but I think that what you are doing could still be very useful to a lot of people.

You should explain the foam, the mixture looks really thin-translates to weak concrete regardless of what is inside. Have you completed compression tests on the concrete to give us a (psi) level? Both peak sustained and compaction ratios. good luck on your trials, but from what I have seen It looks very weak. I mean nothing bad, keep trying.

    - Keep one half of the top of the plastic barrel attached to form a natural lip
    - place the barrel in a tipping cart so you can roll it over the mould and use the natural lip to control the pour
    - have your mixing tool mounted to a simple lift so all you have to do is move the barrel under it and lower it in to mix

    cool to see that you are doing this at home! I really like the idea of building small utility structures this way! FYI "Air Crete" is actually referred to as cellular concrete. It's been around for a long time. Generally used as a lightweight fill material because of its low strength. Concrete looses 5-10% of its strength for every 1% increase in air content beyond about 7% entrained air which is a very limiting factor of cellular concrete. Also, cement is not considered to be a green building material. It is actually one of the worst, due to the immense heat required to manufacture cement powder it creates HUGE amounts of greenhouse gasses.

      Actually the majority of the heat and gases are recycled through a Pre-calciner that heats up the material before going into the kiln making the firing process more efficient and using less energy.

    Great work !
    Please be aware that steel reinforcing bars or nets should be corrosion protected since the porous structure of the aircrete will speed up corrosion due rapid carbonitation which decreases Ph- value of the aircrete.
    Suitable corrosion protections may be concidered:
    * Hot dipped galvanized steel
    * Bitumen coated steel (easy application and cheap)
    * powder coating
    * Paint
    * Coating of potassium silicate waterglass. Caution... Do not use sodium silicate coating since it may dissolve in water!

      hmm people are using Sodium Silicate to make Waterglass to use as a binding agent in their DIY refractory cement for their foundry... I wonder if the heating up of metals releases water vapor that could effect the water glass durability....

    Awsome videos and good on you for sharing it with us. Just a thought though, instead of cutting the wire mesh to the exact(or almost) width of the metal frame why not leave about an inch on either side of your panels' width that way you can bend that inch on either side to 90 degrees that way the 1 inch high bend will rest on the metal frame raising the entire wire mesh an inch or so off the bottom. Just a thought but hey as I said really good job man I wish I could join you in your endeavour.
