  • Black union workers are under siege in Memphis.
For decades, workers who make protein for Nestle made a fair living.
After a $26 billion takeover, a new owner wants to take away lunch breaks & destroy the union.
Workers won’t back down. They’ve been striking for 4 months.

While I somewhat understand the rain collecting law in California…the fact that the Nestle CEO at one point said he wanted to both induce water scarcity, and own it all was the turning point for me. The Great Lakes are still being tapped illegally like the episode on Conspiracy Theory showed because of these water bottle companies using labor to bottle it here, and then sell it back to the US consumer for double triple profit.
Now low tide spots have already hit bedrock in spots you couldn’t even ford in the past, and they’re still siphoning water from the Great Lakes in between local construction and pollution.
Edit: I looked it up because I remembered something and it was actually THE BUSH family, (Jr.) that deregulated corporation’s ability to siphon water from the Great Lakes. Before he did that it was practically deemed unconstitutional to siphon from them as they house almost all local biodiversity to the Midwest.
Fast forward to now and since corporations have been siphoning them for well over a decade, AND we’ve seen endless train pollution derailments that have brought the little remaining water supply to soil-there’s now lethally toxic levels in the soil and water of many of these low tide swamps.
Now when the rains come, they rise the low tides and cause endless toxic runoff that kills everything local in the soil including all local agriculture and everything we consume.
Greed will be the death of us all.

$167 a week for health insurance for a family. That’s $668 every four weeks. That’s $8684 a year in insurance premiums. I work in a petroleum refinery and I thought that health insurance was too expensive. It’s a little over $400 a month for a family. It’s $4812 a year. But her insurance premiums are 80.4% higher. That’s crazy. It shouldn’t cost that much to access affordable healthcare. It’s too expensive.
Oh damn they want it to go to $300 a week. Oh my goodness that’s $15600 a year in health insurance premiums. Wtf that shouldn’t be legal. It’s wage theft.

When people have bills and a family to feed they simply can’t just quit their job. That is a factor that is predominantly a major concern. A job can limit a person in that aspect and in doing so creates a situation where a person is held captive and or oppressed because they have no other choice but to stay. That within and of itself is a form of slavery.

As currently on view in the USA, the FASCIST SCAM started over a hundred years ago when Coors (as in Coors beer) put together a fascist right wing group and agenda to counter the socialist progressive policies that were beginning to be implemented in America.
The protestant groups, such as the evangelicals, baptists, assemblies, etc., were chosen for this project PRECISELY and INTENTIONALLY, because they were NAIVE, incredibly IGNORANT, and very EASILY and READILY MANIPULATED.
Money, cheap labor, capitalism, power, fascism, plutocracy, and oligarchy were and are the singular goals, the absolute objectives; though most of the deluded members of these cults are not aware of these things and would die defending this con. -
These ultra right wing barrons knew it would take some time for this cold-blooded, purposeful contrivance to work its way to the forefront, but it started to bear fruit in the 50's, showed up in force in the Reagan 80's, the Gingrich Congress, Dubya's era, Delay's Congress, and came to full, grim, nightmarish fruition with the republicaneviks, trumpeviks, magaviks, q'anoneviks, etc.; with the RIGHT WING, conservative, fascist MEDIA at their side AMPLIFYING the MESSAGING 24/7.
It would take hundreds of years of deprogramming - and that with limited success - to start to solve this problem, if at all possible, because it was done under the auspices of religion. The naive left fell prey to right wing pr and did absolutely nothing to counteract this evil, nefarious scheme. It was dismissed as under the sponsorship and guidance of 'religion.' They were afraid to touch that system model. Instead, they actually helped cater to it, particularly during the Reagan and Dubya era. -- The so-called 'christian right' is NOT Christian. They are old testament fundamentalist reconstructionists and dominionists. There are varieties within those; most of which are predatory, fraudulent, grifting, larcenous, and criminal. They do NOT follow the teachings of Christ as laid out in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament of the Bible. The word 'christian' as applied to these people is a DELIBERATE MISNOMER. -- -- --
Additionally, the Muscovite-Russian State has been plying its propaganda for hundreds of years. But it came into full play in the USA with the Reagan years in all possible categories, such as: economy, commerce, business, politics, finance, entertainment, religion, education, etc. Putin intensified the predatory ruthless scheme to a highly targeted level by not only using human assets but all media resources available, particularly television and internet; concentrating on the venal, CORRUPT, uninformed, IGNORANT, and GULLIBLE political and religious right. This Infiltration/Manipulation is ONGOING. - Crudely but accurately stated, Trump and the religious/political right are Putin's 'butt boys' - (though Trump is particularly 'special' in that regard). That goes for the entire religious and political right throughout the planet. Think Europe, India, Africa, etc. The muscovite brainwashing has been profuse. -- -- --
The right planned hundreds of years into the future.
The left was lazy, and in many instances, arrogant and unsophisticated about reality.
The consequences and results of lack of counter-action are self-evident and on full display. -- The only long-term answer:
EDUCATION, education, education. With real SOLUTIONS and absolute, actual RESULTS.
Not following through would be terminal.

When you in big corporations and warehouses like Nestle, Abbot, Frito Lay, Amazon, or any other warehouse….Those are some pretty big places and the amount of work that you do, takes up all of your energy. Every few months the company said they would have to close down if they could not cut some sort of benefit after a few years all the benefits were cut and then they sold the company.

Slavery never went away. Capitalism IS slavery. It's economic slavery.
Edit: this comment kinda blew up a bit so I'll add one of my favorite quotes by I can't remember who.

"Economic Slavery requires the people to house and feed themselves" - Peter Joseph

Also, it's been really getting to me, that every f-ing job I get always wants ALL of my time. They ALL want you to uncritically accept that you're not allowed to have 2 days off in a row, you're not allowed to build a relatively regular schedule to keep yourself sane- even though I'm neurodivergent and it would help me avoid certain issues that affect my ability to do my best work- they want to OWN you. And if you don't like it you can starve and be homeless.

The 13th Amendment also allows people in prison to be enslaved. At the time it was written, states just made a bunch of laws criminalizing black people to force them back into slavery. Today we have the war or drugs, overpolicing poor communities, racial profiling, and a pay-to-win justice system to thank for the disproportionate racial makeup of incarcerated people.

Do you think the black workers are targeted regarding civil rights and slavery or are these conditions specific to all workers , If so is civil rights a reasonable platform to help all the workers. Do the black workers receive special recognition and increase for their contribution as they did earlier. It's also important that a more perfect union encourages them to feel like a man about it ! Feel like a man and get an reasonable increase for the cause. I have to know where you guys deliver exactly like that !!!!! You're ahead of your time I can tell it super smarts . She talks about how you might lose your life using that equipment. That's definitely a reason to pay your workers more and respect them. As delivery drivers out there, we don't get paid enough. A lot of the times if you're not driving a semi or have your own company, you get taken advantage of by these big time corporations that run the food delivery and package delivery enterprises that employ so many people. It's like $20 an hour to go out there every day and bring things to people and you're risking your life in the process. Risk benefits should be assessed for each profession and if the risk is high, there should be a governmental scale to add to the base pay of minimum wage per hour to that person's wage.
