Very nice, thank you! You could also add an extra stroke to the existing roads you drew once they are all on the map, and make the stoke a little narrower than the original. Color the original black and the new stroke white or whatever color you want your new roads to be. This saves having to copy and paste a new layer to get the road outline.
Thank you so much! Quick, simple, easy to follow. I watched another video that was so over complicated trying to say it was "easy". lol. This is easy. Thank you!
Under the text tool, "type on a path" you need to draw a path or shape or any edge, and click on the type on path tool and text will start on that point. Does this help? gav
Sorry but not sure about the 3D ones, but i use adobe illustrator, there would be cartogrpher programs maybe, but I just doing from a design point of view, so Illustrator is great
thank you so much. this really help me :"( i'm doing my digital task and my teachers didn't even explain how to draw this kind of thing in ai. and thank god i found your video. really, thanks a lot
i will definitely check your othe videos! pls don't stop sharing your knowledge! don't ever give up! today, you saved my life (my grade actually:") thanks once again
Please man, can you help me, on my map i have 3 circles, and the steps you said it works only on the first one, when i try second one it does not give me black strokes
Hello, I am having an issue when making road, specifically a grid system. The exact problem is once I draw in the roads the features do not join such as yours do. In other words, a line can directly be seen overlapping another line. I have tried the group< join tool as well as arranging the supercomposition of lines. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
really sorry, not exactly sure what you mean, can you send a screen shot of what you get, the only way i can think that you can see line overlapping is they slightly different colours? gaven@ronald.com.au, send me shots and will have a look. cheers gav
So clever! The freetransform tool made me day more then the map though. I've always wondered how to do draw shapes free hand and make them one uh, image I guess. (So you can use fill on them, treat them like a picture or text frame etc) I always thought it was something to do with combine paths but could never get it to work. One thing though, doesn't not using shortcut keys slow you down?
Cheers for feedback, i don't use shortcut keys as these are for classes i teach, so they have to know the long way, althogh i do tell students if you on an hourly rate, don't ever use shortcut keys, you will retire much earlier.

Thanks a lot for the video :) I have a question; What are the best programs for designing digital maps and signage 2D / 3D?

When i press entre it looses the pen history?
Not sure exactly what you mean, i know when you hit enter, it will stop drawing from that point, but not sure about "pen history?" sorry
It will do that, its how you stop drawing, if you click on the pen then back on the last point it should carry on?
amazing! Thanks!
cheers! gav
if i'm done with draweing one pad and want to start to draw a new one the first one vanishes.
Not sure exactly what you mean? drawing one pad?
he meant to say, in 1 layer, after finishing a certain pen line, when he click on another area the 1st pen line disappears. it doesn't merge.
It's because the pen is white I think, that's why he selects the colour red.
