The surgery aspect of all of this is insane. I was in horrible pain for years with my left hand to the point I couldn't put on socks, button pants or even stand for it to be touched. I went through 4 surgeries in 2 years but, the problem kept coming back. I begged the surgeon to just amputate my hand ,but he refused and said it was against his oath and instead he would remove all of the tendons in said hand. However, these nut jobs are advocating for life altering surgeries for minors who are PRETENDING to be the opposite sex. Makes no sense at all.

Matt would explain the timeline realities which precluded the alleged conclusions made by this guy’s “studies” and he would respond by going back to the same point. Matt also explained from a commonsense standpoint that we don’t need studies to know that children do not have the capacity to consent to debilitating procedures, and again, this clown would revert to the same false point that indulging delusions in those with gender dysphoria improves their health. In fact, there are multiple studies that contradict that conclusion.

@@lrsb1678 in terms of the ethics of human experiments, we have rules against experimenting on vulnerable populations. This includes inmates, people with disabilities, and especially children. If an adult wants to undergo the procedures then fine. I still don't agree with it, but they can consent to life changing and sterilizing procedures because they are consenting adults. As for children, they are still physically and psychologically developing. Many have come to regret gender affirming care and surgery later on in life as those tactics did not address the often psychological and neurological comorbidities that come with gender dysphoria. When pressured by doctors with the dichotomy, "It's either a dead son, or a live daughter," it's no wonder why parents and their children go through with it.
As it stands, what we can see is that the side effects are sterilization, decreased bone density for puberty blockers, depression, suicidal ideation, and often increased body dysmorphia.
Many of the side effects are irreversible damaging. It is obvious that children, especially as young as 5 years old who are being pushed towards gender affirming care, do not possess the foresight to properly consent to undergoing such procedures.

If you want to equate it to something on the right, it's like the people who think it's murder to take a morning after pill because "Life begins at Conception". Longer-term studies have shown that the real test for whether or not trans surgery helps is like 7-10 yrs _after_ surgery, once it's set in that you're _stuck with this for _*_life,_* and some people can't handle it and "unalive" themselves. So now ask yourself why you would want to _willingly_ put *_children_* through something that commonly causes full-grown _adults_ to lose their minds over.
It's because ideology tops everything for these activists. Including the safety of the very people they claim to want to "help". It's not about the individual. It's about the current ideology of the group. I do say *current* because these people have an ever changing set of beliefs. No core. Some things never change. Water is wet. Fire is hot. This authority comes from woefully wrong doctors, some of whom "may" very well believe what they're doing is helping people, but that in itself shows a gigantic disconnect with something called reality.

Party A says "have you seen this material/evidence"
Party B says "No I haven't but might have some inherent disagreements with their interpretation of what has been tested"
It seems to me we need such things in a court of law format where both sides get disclosure on everything being displayed in order to effectively debate it.

I was 29 when I had to have a complete hysterectomy. It was hell. The estrogen replacement was absolutely awful. It took 5 years for my body to stabilize. I went through a 2nd menopause at 52 even though I didn't have any ovaries. It was far worse than the first one! I cannot imagine any ADULT making this decision for a child. It's CRIMINAL.
I'm sorry this happened to you - I can only imagine what you went through. It's so important to hear from people like you in this hellish situation in which we find ourselves.

Since anorexia is a form of mental illness...how does one sane person get a crazy one to cooperate? With normalization comes free-will along with the assumption a (mentally ill) person should have freedom to choose what is not healthy for them...to achieve this (for them to choose what is healthy with a mental patient) takes conditioning, the same thing that is used on us

Even if the researchers consciously think they are above board there is unconscious bias. And the fact that the studies are a) small in size and b) short in duration should raise concern in all who honestly look at this issue (as opposed to ideologically).

I can't understand why a medical professional would argue it's okay to remove body parts from a child or prescribe puberty blocking drugs at the child's request when we don't allow children to vote, smoke, use alcohol, join the military, run for office, etc. And what if that child regardless of whatever confusion or anxiety they are experiencing at that time; decides later, maybe 5, 10, 15 years later they want a serious relationship and perhaps to have children. They no longer have the ability to do that.

for years I have had issues with the small sample sizes for many studies and the idea that you don't need many people because stats will fix it is somewhat disturbing.
They always say there are studies, but they never bring them. He says you can google them, yet he has his phone and doesn't have his evidence ready to read to Matt, or anyone.
