- Mitch Marner's future with the Maple Leafs might be the most intriguing storyline to watch in Toronto this offseason. TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins Ryan Rishaug to share his thoughts on what the Leafs should be looking to do with Marner, who has one year remaining on his contract that carries a $10.9M AAV.

Ask him to rank his teammates in terms of hardest working and laziest.
Marner only cares about the money NOT the team. He may become the biggest villain in Leafs history.
He already is !! This hole team is a joke the staff is the issues shannahan
BS
@@johnsummerhill8323 what you mean bs ? The guys a bum done nothing in years ! And now thinks we care to have him rip off the Leafs another year I bet you think Matthews is worth more than a tampon too smh idiot
Treliving needs to trade Marner and stick the winger in the press box until said winger agrees to waive that no-move clause should said winger refuse to do so. Hopefully Treliving will encourage Marner to waive such clause by agreeing to be traded to a team of said winger’s choice. Ilya Mikheyev late Wednesday Eastern Time agreed to waive his modified no-trade clause via a move to the Blackhawks from the Canucks.
I would have to agree with SAID statement lol
@@user-fc2tj8lf2mMarner arguably was this past season a more effective non-preseason point producer than Mikheyev although neither winger put up points often enough in the postseason.
Just let him play out his contract and sign where he gets his best offer. Mitch is a regular season success. After he plays out his contract and Leafs get knocked out of the playoffs next spring in the first round - Marner owes nothing to the Leafs. 😀
That unfortunately is the most realistic outcome here.
when that happens he will become the most hated leaf of all time🤣
@@bryanwouters443 pretty sure he's almost climbed that mountain already.
@@user-fc2tj8lf2m Hey JT left NYI - now it is Mitch’s turn to maybe leave the Leafs 😀
@@bryanwouters443 Well - JT did the same thing to NYI fans. 😀 It is only fair it happens to the Leafs in return.
here we go stanley cup is over.......time to plan the parade TSN sucks
I'm already working on the parade floats 😂
I would trade Marner for a small plastic bucket of hockey pucks in a heartbeat - hmmmm actually - half-filled plastic bucket of hockey pucks ? - I MAKE THAT TRADE hands down - at least the hockey pucks will show up in the playoffs - BYTCHEE MITCHEE MARNER IS A PERENNIAL NO SHOW - NO MORE - OUT THE DOOR - go too lok at my post from 5 years ago - I said - WITH MARNER ON THIS TEAM THEY NEVER WIN THE CUP - prove me WRONG
No Canadian team wins the Cup.
Absolutely not on that AVV and extension. Trade him now. This has become an absolute clown show. This is insanity returning with the same non performers in the playoffs.
He can't be traded without his complete cooperation. And the Leafs will likely have a hefty price to pay for him to waive his NMC.
How?
@@johnsummerhill8323 I know. Thanks. But it’s time to move on.
@@notesandfragments No it isn't. First round draft choice that has exceeded expectations and is 27 years old. Team suicide if he is moved out.
Well, let's see. If you have no interest in making the playoffs then trade him.
they make the playoffs with or without him, there not just getting rid of him and not improving in other areas lol
Probably one of the worst takes anyone will ever have in the hockey community.
If they lose Matthews, Marner or Nylander there will be no playoffs.
Lol they could glue a hockey stick to a broom and that would be the equivalent of Marner in the playoffs. They'll be absolutely fine without him.
@@user-fc2tj8lf2m Has more playoff points than Matthews and Nylander so I guess you could say the same about them.
Oh...another year of the same....moron button
Bullshit. Marner needs to go. One way or another.
Trade the wimp
