Thanks for this. As far as I can tell a Treasure Point doesn't account for anything other than the Player-hero's Standard of Living. I can't see a session where the heroes have to take a few Treasure Points on an adventure to pay for drinks and nibbles. It's almost irrelevant--except when it comes to living standards and some players may not want to worry about that. What are your thoughts?
Yeah it’s very abstract for sure. You need the treasure for longer campaigns where you start to put some away for the “Raise a Heir” undertakings, and aside from building up you SOL to “unlock” more Useful Items you can carry and better armour, that’s essentially it.
RP wise, you start to gain prestige as your wealth starts to be known. Which could present some danger as well. Bandits may start to focus on the company’s movements and may want to “steal” some of their treasure!
But yeah unlike other RP’s it’s fairly minor in this game…
How did you get a 2 and a 7 when rolling 2x success dice for the hoard value?
Definitely an error on my part! Would have to go back over my notes and see what I did there lol. Note to self: do a more thorough check before uploading!

What happens if my players are lucky ones who draw the rune of Gandalf or the eye of Sauron almost every session? What do they do with so many wonderful artifacts? They can sell or exchange for something?
If they’re lucky enough for the Gandalf then they have the blessing of Illuvatar! I’d say run with it. But remember for famous weapons and armour that increases their Eye Awareness (which touch on in another video) so they’re more likely to get Revelation Episodes and thus face major hurdles.
As for rolling 👁️, through curses at them! That’ll make them think twice on picking up a item.
They could give to their “cultural treasury”, like if one was a Hobbit they could donate to the Mathom house for safe keeping. Players could also save items for an heir, and so on.
I watched this to be able to make my own treasure hoard. There was no real advice on how to hoard gold, diamonds, silver, magic artifacts or even some copper. 1/10 will not recommend. /Lootdragon
